What is CIS?

CIS is a non-profit program based in schools across the nation to help students succeed in school. We work as a team with students, teachers, parents and other professionals to improve student well-being and create a system of support. CIS programming is designed to provide skill building, educational supports, attendance supports, tutoring, mentoring and enrichment activities. We also supply basic needs like food, school supplies, clothing and resource assistance.

Students and parents must complete a consent to participate in CIS services which can range from individual services to group activities. Many students participate in lunch groups and these tend to be a very popular activity on campus. If you or your student are interested in CIS services, please don't hesitate to reach out! Consents are available in my office at school for students to pick up as well.

Attendance Awareness

Our attendance initiatives are in full swing this month! Attendance Awareness week was a big success! Thank you to our Hawks for dressing up and showing up for school during the week long celebration.

Hank the Hawk has made his arrival to his first class. Congratulations to Ms. Hovorka's 4th grade Class for having the highest attendance in September! At 97.72% you had the most students here everyday, ready to learn on time!

Our HAWKS Pride boards have been showcasing perfect attendance during our 5 day weeks. Every day every student is present, classes earn a letter. Congratulations to Ms. Metzner(twice!) and Ms. Austin for filling their HAWKS boards!

Stay tuned next month for our first winner of our Poppin' Attendance Lunch winner for the first 9 weeks!
