Cloud can be moody and unpredictable, just like the weather! When Cloud is happy, he spreads sunshine, but his sad face reminds us that feelings can change. Cloud teaches children that it’s okay to feel mad, but it’s never okay to be unkind or mean.
Even kind kids sometimes leave others out, accidentally or on purpose. At school, we don’t tolerate hurtful behavior, but we see these moments as opportunities to teach children how to make things right, respond to unkindness, and include others. Families are our partners in this ongoing journey of learning and growth, after all, you are you're child's first and primary teacher. Together, we are better!
Kimochis® Family Challenge: Look for opportunities to include others! Model how you connect with people you don’t know well, whether they are parents, teachers, or children. Challenge your family to talk to one new person each time you visit campus.
Monday, November 16th to Friday, November 20th
This year's elementary parent conferences are scheduled to take place from Monday, November 16th to Friday, November 20th. This valuable opportunity allows you to engage in discussions about your child's progress and gain insights into their strengths and areas for growth. On these days, Empresa will operate on a minimum day schedule to accommodate these important sessions. Further details and specific scheduling information will be provided by your child's teacher in the coming weeks.
Fall Festival was a huge success!
Our Fall Festival was a wonderful example of PTA funds at work! Thanks to the generosity and support of our Empresa families, our PTA was able to put on a spectacular event for our entire school community to enjoy. It was a perfect example of how your support of our PTA comes right back to our students and families!
A huge thank you to our incredible PTA for organizing another amazing Fall Festival! We are so grateful to our room parents for coordinating the classroom booths, our families for their generous donations, and the many volunteers who gave their time to make the evening such a success. A special thank you to the Marines who volunteered their time and jumped right in wherever help was needed. Their enthusiasm, teamwork, and willingness to serve made such a difference!
It was a wonderful evening filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit. We are so fortunate to have such an amazing Empresa community!
All PTA association members are invited to attend a short 10 minute meeting before Paint Knight. We will be reviewing and approving new budget items and releasing funds for upcoming events.
Is your student missing a hoodie, jacket, lunchbox, or that one water bottle they just had yesterday? Now’s the time to check our Lost & Found! All unclaimed items will be donated today.
Have your Knight take a peek and bring those missing treasures home before they find a new home!

VUSD families are invited to join us for a Community Collaboration focused on the Family Campaign portion of the Tech Time Review. Hosted by VUCPTA, this workshop is open to all VUSD families. During this interactive workshop, families will share ideas and work together to help shape the Family Campaign. The campaign will provide families with practical, accessible resources that support healthy technology habits, responsible use of AI and social media, and creative screen-free activities that encourage imagination, play, conversation, and connection. We hope you will bring your experiences, creativity, and ideas to help us design a campaign that is genuinely useful for VUSD families.
