Beneke Blast
September 11, 2026-September 18, 2026
Dear Beneke Families,
Thank you for another great week at Beneke Elementary! Our Bears continue to work hard, demonstrate strong routines, and show Bear pride throughout the building. We are proud of the effort our students are putting into their learning each day, and we appreciate our families for your continued support.
Thank You for Supporting Beginning-of-Year Assessments
This week, our students worked hard on their beginning-of-year assessments. These assessments provide our teachers with important information about each student’s strengths and areas for growth. Our teachers will use the results to plan instruction, create small groups, and provide targeted support to ensure every Bear continues to grow academically.
Thank you for making attendance and arriving on time a priority during testing. As we move forward, daily attendance continues to be extremely important. Every day of instruction matters, and every minute counts!
Parents Are Welcome to Join Us for Lunch!
Beginning this week, parents and guardians are welcome to join their student for lunch at Beneke! We are excited to welcome our families and provide this opportunity for you to spend time with your Bear during the school day.
Please review the attached Café Guidelines and Cellphone Policy before visiting for lunch. All visitors are expected to follow these guidelines while on campus. If the guidelines are not followed, you will not be invited back to campus for future lunch visits.
To help our teachers safely and efficiently transition students in and out of the cafeteria, parents and visitors will be asked to leave the cafeteria five minutes before students are dismissed from lunch.
Please also remember that parents and visitors may not use student restrooms while visiting the cafeteria or campus. Please ask a staff member for assistance if you need to use a restroom.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe, orderly, and positive environment for all of our Bears. We look forward to welcoming you for lunch!
Mark Your Calendars!
We have several exciting events coming up at Beneke! Please review the Important Events Calendar included in this newsletter and save the dates.
One special event coming soon is our Grandparents Breakfast on Thursday, September 24, from 7:15–8:15 a.m. Families will also have an opportunity to visit our Book Fair during the event. We look forward to welcoming our grandparents and families to campus!
Your participation and partnership make a difference. Thank you for staying connected and supporting the many opportunities we provide for our Bears.
We are proud of the strong start our students have made and look forward to seeing their continued growth and success throughout the year. Thank you for being our partners in your child’s education and for helping us continue Beneke’s tradition of excellence.
One Team, One Dream, Stronger Together!
With Bear Pride,

Beneke Elementary

3:25 PM-3:45 PM Dismissal
All car riders have a car rider number, and parents must have the placard issued by the campus to pick students up from the car rider line.
You may not use a picture of the placard to pick up your student.
If you arrive after 3:45 PM to pick up your student up from the front office with the car rider tag, show your ID, and sign the late dismissal form.
Please be courteous and follow the procedures when using the car rider line.
The traffic pattern is designed for cars to take turns, turning into the parking lot from Briarchase Dr. Please do not form a third line down the center of the road to turn into the car rider line.
Walker A Parents, please do not block the entrance to the neighborhood. In the event of an emergency, an emergency vehicle needs access to the residents' homes. Therefore, you may not park on both sides of the entrance or the main road leading to the neighborhood.
Walker B Parents, please do not park on the side of Briarchase Drive disrupting the car rider line. If your child is a walker you may not call them over to a car where you are parked or driving. You need to exit your vehicle and walk to meet your student.
Llegada y Salida
Horario escolar: 7:35 a. m. – 3:25 p. m.
7:35 a. m. – 8:05 a. m. | Llegada de estudiantes
8:06 a. m. | Suena la campana de tardanza
3:25 p. m. – 3:45 p. m. | Salida
