Superintendent Update
October 4, 2024
Cliff's Notes
Dear Bedford Public Schools Community,
This past Wednesday, October 2nd, was National Custodian Day, so I wanted to take the opportunity to thank our Facilities team for taking such wonderful care of our buildings and grounds and ensuring safe and clean learning spaces for our students. This is especially true about events like the upcoming JGMS Fall Social on October 18th! (Pictured: beautified entrance to the Superintendent's Office).
I am also excited to present the final 2024-2027 Strategic Plan at the upcoming school committee meeting on October 8th. Thanks to all of the stakeholders who participated along the way. Now that more than a year of entry and strategic planning has come to fruition, I am excited to get to work with the team. Stay tuned for updates as the work progresses.
Best,
Cliff Chuang 莊 宏 毅

The school committee meeting schedule and supporting materials can always be found at School Committee - Meeting Schedule & Supporting Documents.
As we do each October, we are asking for parent/guardian cooperation in filling out a survey form to meet the requirements of Public Law 874. Under the provisions of Public Law 874, Bedford Public Schools must conduct an annual Military Impact Aid Survey. The Town of Bedford receives a substantial sum of money under this provision, which lowers the cost of education to the taxpayers. Please help us identify all federally connected students whose families are Active Duty Military, live on Hanscom AFB, work on federal facilities (including Hanscom AFB, Bedford VA, Boston VA, Lincoln Public School on HAFB, Lincoln Labs, Mitre) or are Active Duty Military! Our yearly survey is fully electronic with e-signature. Parents/Guardians will be emailed a unique survey for each enrolled child. It is very important that all surveys are completed and electronically signed for each student, as reimbursement is made for all eligible students on a per pupil basis. We thank you very much for your assistance with this important annual survey.
For all questions regarding this matter, please contact the Business Office at 781-275-7708 for assistance.
October 8th: Hanscom AFB Meet & Greet
6:30-7:00 PM
Parents are invited to a meet and greet prior from 6:30PM-7:00PM with Col. Jorge Jimenez, Base leadership, Bedford School Committee members and the Bedford High School Team. This is a great opportunity to meet and talk with members of the school community.
All 2023-2024 MCAS results have been received and will be mailed by Friday, October 11th to students at their listed home addresses.
