Dear NPE Families,

As we approach the Thanksgiving break, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your support throughout these first few months of the school year. Your partnership plays such an important role in helping our students thrive.

Looking ahead to December, we are excited to welcome our annual Book Fair beginning the week of December 1, as well as our much-loved Winter Concert. These events are wonderful opportunities for our community to come together and celebrate our students’ growth and creativity.

We also look forward to seeing you next week for Parent-Teacher Conferences. If you have not yet had a chance to schedule a conference, please reach out to your child’s teacher at your earliest convenience.

As we head into the holiday, I also hope to see many NPE families participating in the annual Delco Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. It’s always a fun and festive way to start the day and connect with our broader community.

As I reflect on this season of gratitude, I am truly thankful for the opportunity to know and serve the NPE community. Our dedicated staff, supportive families, and incredible students continue to make NPE “The Place to Be.”

I hope the upcoming break provides your family with time to rest, reconnect, and enjoy the holiday together.

Drug and Alcohol Prevention Education: Early education and ongoing, informed conversations with youth are the best protective strategies against youth substance use and misuse. Parents will learn how current national and local trends are impacting their children and how to start and maintain open dialogue around this topic.

Please review the attachment found below regarding WSSD's school closing information during inclement weather. As the winter months approach, we recommend discussing dismissal plans with your children, particularly if it appears there may be an early dismissal.

Wallingford-Swarthmore Kindergarten Registration for 2026-27 is now open!

To be eligible for kindergarten admission in September 2026, children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2026. NO EXCEPTIONS. Students must be registered by Friday, February 27, 2026 to be eligible for the lottery to select AM/PM sessions.

The district offers online registration. This can be accessed HERE. Questions concerning online registration should be directed to Derrick L. Clements at dclements@wssd.org.

If you are unable to register online, please call the Educational Data and Registration Office at 610-892-3470 ext. 1304 to schedule an appointment to complete the registration online at the Administration Office.
