We look forward to welcoming parents to Fox Ridge on Tuesday, September 1st for Curriculum Night! Curriculum Night is a time for parents and guardians to gain an overview of curriculum, classroom routines, and expectations.

Each classroom teacher will run two sessions, and parents can choose the session that works best for them. This gives you the opportunity to visit multiple classrooms if needed. Ms. Alva and Mrs. McKnight will also host two "Administrator Sessions" to provide you an overview of some of our work this year, and share opportunities to get involved with our PTO. Like the teachers, the same presentation will be shared twice, to give families the option to choose whichever session works best with their schedule.

5:30-5:55 pm: Administrator Presentation 1

6:00-6:25 pm: Administrator Presentation 2 OR K-2 Session 1

6:35-7:00 pm: K-2 Session 2 OR 3-5 Session 1

7:10-7:35 pm: 3-5 Session 2

See you all on September 1st!

The deadline for Room Parent sign ups has been extended to Friday, September 4th. Two co-room parents will be chosen at random if a class has two or more signed up for the lottery.

Room Parents will lead the planning of the Halloween, Holiday, and Valentine’s Day party in addition to acting as a link between the teacher and families for classroom or school events.

Alternate Schedule Plan for 2026-2027 Alternate Schedule Plan for 2026-2027

To make sure all students get equal learning time throughout the year, there are times we adjust the schedule when there's a day off (like a Monday holiday). Instead of skipping that day, we ‘move’ the missed day to another day that week. This way, classes like PE, STEM, Art, and Music stay balanced for everyone!

How It Works

  • If there’s no school on a Monday, we might follow a Monday schedule on Tuesday or Thursday instead.

  • This helps all students get a fair number of learning days.

Schedule Change Dates

  • No school on Monday, Sept 7 → We run a Monday schedule on Thursday, Sept 10

  • No school on Monday, Jan 18 → We run a Monday schedule on Wednesday, Jan 20

  • No school on Tuesday, Jan 19 → We run a Tuesday schedule on Thursday, Jan 21

Why Adjust the Schedule?

Some days (like Mondays) are missed more often due to holidays. Please reference the image below to see how we create a more balanced schedule with these three alternate schedule days.

What Does This Mean for Me?

It may mean that your student's music lesson, or morning rehearsal day changes. It also means your child may need PE shoes on a day of the week they typically don't. These three alternate schedule days help keep learning fair and consistent for all students. Thank you for your support!
