Students: Join your Google Classroom for your Cohort
Students, once you have connected, please feel free to add your parent/guardian as well! Your counselors will use this throughout the rest of middle and high school to share important updates and reminders with you.
Because of your continued generosity, 30 students a week are still picking out special prizes every week as a reward for positive behaviors in the classroom, lunchroom, and hallways each day. Please consider a donation to keep the reward options exciting ๐๐งก

ZAP Program
Zeros Aren't Possible
If your student has five or more missing assignments, they may be pulled for a working lunch with one of the counselors to complete any assignments marked as missing.
We are down to less than 16 school days left this school year. Turning in missing assignments can make a significant improvement with grades.
Staying up-to-date with assignments:
Be sure to check for assignments, study guides, resources, etc. in Schoology. Also, these Infinite Campus apps for students and parents are really helpful for notifications with grades, missing assignments, and more.
Information and Application for 21st Century Scholarship Program
Students enrolled in the Free or Reduced lunch program will also be automatically enrolled in the 21st Century Scholarship Program in the 7th and 8th grades. If you need to apply for the lunch program to see if you qualify, here are the links:
The last day to sign up for this college scholarship program is June 30th. Please reach out to your counselor with any questions about setting up a Scholartrack account and/or eligibility. Many students are eligible for this amazing scholarship opportunity that covers the cost of college tuition to public universities in Indiana for all four years.
Staying in the know this year:
Be sure to check your email daily for the most up to date news and announcements. Students and parents will receive a daily email from the SCMS Office of announcements Monday-Friday through ParentSquare.
If still needed, here is the link to sign up for ParentSquare: https://www.parentsquare.com/signin
Counselors will share a newsletter each month highlighting upcoming events, reminders, and updates.
