Hi Huskies! This is my second year at Hebron Valley, my 4th year as a counselor, my 8th year in education and in Lewisville ISD. My undergraduate degree is from University of North Texas, and my counseling degree is from Texas Woman's University. Before counseling, I taught middle school English Language Arts/Reading at Huffines Middle School in the Central Zone and started my counseling career at Southridge Elementary. I am so glad to be back in the East Zone where I grew up and currently live with my husband and my son who is almost 2! I grew up in Carrollton and have major love for this area and the people here! #HawkPrideNeverDies
My heart is filled with excitement for this upcoming school year! Please let me know how I can serve you and your families! Go Huskies!

This is year 16 for me in education. I received my undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University, and I earned my Masters in Counseling from University of North Texas. I worked as a counselor in the eating disorder field for a short while following my graduation, but I am an educator at heart, so I was thrilled to step into the role of school counselor here at Hebron Valley STEM Academy. I am a huge lover of my family and friends, my church, my dog, The Golden Girls, and reading.
Welcome Back to School, Huskies!
Welcome back, Huskies! We hope your summer was filled with fun, rest, and time with the people you love. As we kick off a brand-new school year, we’re excited for all the learning, growing, and creating that’s ahead! This year, we’re embracing our theme: Innovation Starts Here! 🌟
Every big idea starts somewhere, and we can’t wait to see the creativity, curiosity, kindness, and new possibilities our students bring to our campus. Here’s to an amazing year of discovering, dreaming, and innovating together! 🐾
Below is a link to the Counselor Referral Form. While we are still available by email or phone, we made this convenient Referral Form for students (3rd-5th), parents, and staff to reach out to us with concerns that require counselor assistance. Kindergarten-2nd grade students will be practicing their advocating skills and will be encouraged to report to an adult as opposed to using their own technology to put in a referral. Please feel free to use the form whenever you need to, it is monitored daily and we will reach out to you as necessary!

Snack Donations Needed
The counseling department knows that a small boost can make a big difference in a student's day. Whether a child needs extra fuel to stay focused, is navigating a challenging day, or simply needs a comfort snack, our goal is to ensure every Husky feels supported, cared for, and ready to learn.
Our snack closet provides a welcoming, judgment-free space where students can request a snack whenever they need a little extra encouragement or nourishment.
To keep our shelves stocked, we are always grateful for community snack donations! Your support directly helps us create a safe, nurturing environment for all our students. Thank you for partnering with us to care for our Huskies!
Information from LISD Guidance & Counseling Department
In Lewisville ISD, the whole child is at the core of everything we do as a district, including our students' mental, emotional and physical health. With counselors on every campus, LISD knows parents want their children to receive an outstanding education, but more importantly, they want their children to be nurtured and cared for beyond just academics.
LISD provides families with resources to ensure each child receives the support they need to develop every aspect of their being.
Should you need more information on the following topics or are in need of support for your child in a different area, please reach out to your student’s school counselor–they are here to help!
We appreciate the opportunity to work with your students.

Wemberly Worried by Kevin Henkes
Wemberly worried about spilling her juice, about shrinking in the bathtub, even about snakes in the radiator. She worried morning, noon, and night. "Worry, worry, worry," her family said. "Too much worry."
And Wemberly worried about one thing most of all: her first day of school. But when she meets a fellow worrywart in her class, Wemberly realizes that school is too much fun to waste time worrying!
"Henkes once again puts his finger on the pulse of young children, combining good storytelling, careful characterization, and wonderfully expressive artwork to create an entertaining and reassuring picture book." - School Library Journal (starred review)
