The Weekly Hoot
March 27, 2026
What a fun Spirit Week! Each morning, our staff looked forward to seeing how students embraced the day’s theme. Character Day, and Crazy Hair Day definitely took the cake— we had fabulous book and movie characters and we saw some creative and imaginative hairstyles!
Friday, April 3rd will be our second, One School - One Book activity Friday. As a reminder, the activities will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. We will have a special musical performance at 10:00 am. We look forward to another round of fun and educational activities.
Have a great weekend!

The Lukas Foundation is such a special part of Temple. If you haven't spent time around them, they’re an intentional community where adults with developmental disabilities live and work together on their farm and in their craft studios. It’s been a staple here since the '80s, built on the idea that everyone deserves a life that’s full of purpose and real friendships.
One of the highlights of their week is heading over to the TES gym every Wednesday after school. It’s a simple routine, but it’s a big deal.
Why it’s such a great fit:
Being Valued: It’s wonderful to see these adults having a consistent place where they are seen, cared for, and truly valued as neighbors.
A Community Hub: Having the Lukas crew at the school reminds us that our town buildings are for everyone. It turns the gym into a space where different parts of the community actually overlap.
Real Belonging: There’s something special about them being right in the middle of the after-school mix- it’s exactly the kind of inclusion that makes a small town feel like a real community.
It’s just one of those low-key partnerships that makes Temple feel like a place where everyone has a spot.
