The Raguet ReviewAugust 24th-August 28th

A Message From Mrs. Theiss

What an incredible first week! Thank you all for your support, patience, and energy in making our return to school so smooth and successful.

Walking the hallways, visiting classrooms, and working the cafeteria this week, I have been immensely proud to see our students thriving in every area of the building. They are already diving into learning, catching up with friends, and mastering new routines with great enthusiasm.

As we embark on this new school year, please remember that we view education as a true team effort. We are here to partner with you every step of the way as your students navigate new challenges, discover new passions, and grow. Never hesitate to reach out to our teachers, counselors, or administration—we are in this together.

Be sure to check out the rest of this newsletter for details on several special events coming up this week that you won't want to miss.

PTO Meeting PTO Meeting

We will meet in the cafeteria at 5:30 to discuss how YOU can help us develop and grow the Raguet PTO! This short meeting will be ahead of the Title One/GT Meeting. The meeting will primarily be to discuss how we will start this exciting new era of the PTO and sign up for committees that will meet at our next meeting. We will have three committee sign ups at the meeting:

  • Fundraising Committee- This committee will primarily be in charge of Fun Food Friday planning and execution and helping to support the events that the PTO will want to host.
  • Student Event Committee- This committee is for you if you are all about planning and hosting events that are fun for our students. This will include the Fall Festival, Holiday Shop and Spring Carnival---but we are open to other ideas too!
  • Teacher Appreciate Committee- This committee will be the masterminds behind planning ways to shower our teachers and staff with love and support!

PTO Goal Statement

To enhance the school experience for all students and staff by raising vital resources through initiatives like Fun Food Friday, creating memorable student events such as the Fall Festival, Holiday Shop, and Spring Carnival, and actively celebrating and supporting our teachers throughout the year.

TITLE ONE/GT Meeting TITLE ONE/GT Meeting

This meeting will take place after the PTO meeting. The primary function of the meeting is to share about our campus' inclusion in the TITLE One Program and answer any questions that you have about that participation.

Mrs. Beaty will also discuss upcoming testing for the Gifted and Talented program. This meeting is not for parents of students who are already in the program, but rather parents that would like their student(s) to be tested.

Grand-Person's Lunch FAQ Grand-Person's Lunch FAQ

How do I sign up to eat lunch with my grandchild?

  • All visitors should fill out the form linked in the button below to pre-register for lunch. The pre-registration will close at 8:00 AM on September 2nd. You will still need to bring your ID to check in, but this will expedite the process tremendously.

What if I do not pre-register?

  • No worries! You will still be allowed to eat lunch with your student, but will have to wait in line to register through our raptor system. This could result in delays and missed time with your student. It is much easier to fill out the form ahead of time.

Can I bring my student lunch?

  • Absolutely!! However, if you choose not to bring your student lunch, your student will still be allowed to go through the lunch line and get free lunch. Either way is just fine!

I have multiple grand kids. Can I eat lunch with them all at the same time?

  • Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate students eating at different lunch times. All students will only be permitted to eat in the lunch period that they are assigned. You are welcome to leave and come back to eat with each student at different times.

Where will we eat?

  • Students who have a visitor will eat in the cafeteria. All other students will eat lunch in the classroom with their teachers on this day.
