Let’s Connect and Learn Together!
We are inviting our STEAM and Spanish Immersion families to participate in deeper conversations about their experiences at Gage. Ideally, we hope to have two parent representatives from each grade level within each instructional program.
By Tuesday afternoon, families will receive a Google Form to express their interest in participating.
These conversations will give us an opportunity to listen, share perspectives, and better understand our families’ experiences, needs, and hopes for Gage. By learning from one another, we can continue strengthening our school community and making sure every family feels welcomed, heard, and valued.
😀 Volunteer Applications! 😀
From your dear front office staff:
Please, complete your volunteer applications AT LEAST 2 weeks before the day/event you would like to volunteer for, otherwise, we cannot guarantee that you will be cleared in time to attend. In fact, if you have even an inkling that you might want to volunteer or chaperone in the future, apply now. Remember, application need to be completed yearly!!!
Go to gage.sandiegounified.org and click on the little hands "Want to volunteer?"
Gators in Action
Building Numbers to Ten with Ms. Volpp
Ms. Volpp’s class is exploring how numbers work together to make ten! Through hands-on activities and mathematical exploration, students are discovering different combinations that add up to ten. These foundational number sense skills help students recognize patterns, build fluency, and develop confidence as mathematicians.
Math Talk in Action with Maestra Getch
Maestra Getch’s class is putting their math thinking into words! Students practiced accountable talk as they shared strategies for solving a challenging word problem. By explaining their reasoning, listening to classmates, and comparing different approaches, students are building both their mathematical understanding and their communication skills.
