Weekly K12 Zone Guide
October 8th

🎉🏈 Homecoming Week is Coming Soon to the K12 Zone! October 20–24
Get ready — Homecoming Week is the week after next!
Students will celebrate school spirit with fun theme days, exciting events, and the all-new Balloon Popper Challenge!
🎈 How It Works:
Each day your student visits the National Zone, they’ll add one pump of air to their school’s balloon.
The first school to pop its balloon wins a special prize — their school mascot will appear as a statue in all National Zones for November!
✨ Daily Themes & Events:
-
Mon: Pajama Day 💤 + Karaoke & Open Mic Night
-
Tue: Crazy Hat Day 🎩 + Scavenger Hunt & Cutest Pet Contest
-
Wed: Favorite Sport/Hobby Day ⚽ + Trivia & Game Night
-
Thu: School Spirit Day 💙 + Homecoming Parade
-
Fri: Cosplay/Costume/Character Day 👻 + Esports Game, Thriller Dance & Homecoming Party
📸 Photo Challenge:
Students can upload pictures of their outfits on Chalk the Block or the Padlet in the National Zone — and like their favorites!
💥 Encourage your student to log in each day during Homecoming Week and show their school spirit — it all starts October 20th!
📚✨ New Silent Zones Now Open in the K12 Zone!
Two brand-new Silent Zones are here — perfect for students who want to explore, create, and reflect in fun new ways this October!
🌈 Magical World of Reading Zone (Grades K–8)
A brand-new space where stories come to life! Students can explore new books, play interactive reading games, tackle a book-themed escape room (for grades 6–8), and share their favorite reads with friends. Adventure and imagination await on every page!
🌟 The Kindness Zone (Grades 9–12)
Just in time for October Kindness Month, high schoolers can visit this floating-island world to watch inspiring videos, write journal reflections, and take on optional Kindness Challenges to unlock new emotes. Each activity encourages positivity, empathy, and connection — reminding students that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference
🔥 New Game in the K12 Zone: Glitch Lava!
A brand-new game has landed in the K12 Zone — Glitch Lava! It’s fast, fun, and perfect for a quick brain break.
💥 How It Works:
Students must avoid the lava and race to the green spaces to earn points.
The longer they stay alive, the higher their score climbs!
🎮 Where to Find It:
Your student can jump into Glitch Lava right now in the National K12 Zones.
Encourage them to test their reflexes, challenge friends, and see who can beat the heat!
📝 We Need Your Ideas for the National K12 Zones!
Learning Coaches, you know your student best — what excites them, what motivates them, and what kinds of activities spark their curiosity. That’s why we need your help!
We’re looking to expand the National K12 Zones with a much broader scope of activities, events, and student clubs. But the best ideas will come from you — the people who see what your students truly enjoy every day.
💡 Maybe your student would love a new type of game or activity.
💡 Maybe they’d be excited about a special event or celebration.
💡 Maybe they’d join a club that we haven’t even thought of yet!
👉 Please take a few minutes to share your suggestions using the form below. Your feedback will directly shape what we build next in the K12 Zones.
