Happy Summer! This will be the last newsletter for quite some time. Enjoy the fun with your kiddos and we'll see you in August!

What are your kiddos doing for the next two months? Hopefully lots of fun, sprinkled with some brain training (train the brain to avoid the brain drain).

Our teacher teams worked hard to determine which prerequisite skills students should have as they prepare for their 2025-26 grade level. Please visit our elementary school academic resources page on the Providence Hall website and find the link to the "Summer Bridge" work for your child's particular grade level.

Remember that Lexia and iXL are also resources at your disposal as parents. We recommend 15-20 minutes on each, using your computer or tablet. Prodigy is also a great resource. All of these are accessible via the Clever landing page

As your child chooses summer reading books, remember to consider their lexile level. We recommend students read books at or just above their lexile level, which can boost comprehension, expand vocabulary, and build confidence.

You can consult this chart to determine what Lexile level your child should be on given their grade level. To know their actual lexile level you can email Mr. Fry or Mrs. LeGendre this summer (that is something you can also ask your child's teacher during the school year).

Train that brain!

Raptor Check In

We are excited to re-introduce Raptor, our new system for checking visitors into the school. Whether you are volunteering in a classroom, helping with an event, or attending a performance, Raptor will help streamline the check-in process.

For certain events, you may receive a pre-registration link or QR code from your child’s teacher. To get started:

  • Download the Raptor app
  • Scan your driver’s license, then complete the ID verification and selfie step to create your profile
  • Scan the QR code or follow the link provided by your teacher

Once your profile is set up, future visits will be much quicker as you’ll simply open your app to My Raptor Passport and scan your personal QR code instead of your ID at the front office. This will allow you to volunteer in the classroom or visit your student.

For specific events your teacher will send you a link or QR pertaining to that event ONLY. Only after you have created a MY Raptor Passport will you then scan the QR or follow the link from your teacher. The app will then send you a different QR code for the specific event. If you open your Raptor App you can find this QR under the "Events" tab.

When you arrive at the school, open the Raptor app, select “Event,” and your pre-registered QR code for the event will be there for quick check-in.

Completing ALL of these steps before coming to the school will streamline the process.

Thank you for helping us keep our campus safe and efficient!
