Bluff Monthly Update--November
November 1, 2025
Happy Fall! It is hard to believe that we have completed two full months of school and are entering the busy time of the year with the holidays. This is the time of year when our attendance starts to fall, so I urge you to please make every effort to get your child to school. Each classroom counts on every student to be here each day so they can earn prizes!! While prizes are nice, the real reason for good attendance is that students can't learn when they aren't here. We are off to an awesome start!! Please help us continue to keep our numbers high and student learning maximized!!
Looking forward to seeing you at conferences later this month to share your child's progress!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Cooley

Attendance Matters!
With fall in full swing, we have seen a rise in absences. It is important that we have students here as often as possible! Doctor notes or having our school nurse excuse absences are one of the few ways you can get excused absences and be exempt from the state law of 'consequences.' Please be sure to communicate with the school about any absences. The doctor offices are really good about faxing notes too, so that would be the easiest way to get something excused!
Please also know that when your child has reached 5 absences, you will get a call from the school, at 7 absences you will receive a letter, and at 11 absences, we will set up a meeting with you to come to school and create an Attendance Prevention Plan. Our goal is to keep problem solving with you!
Food Pantry at Bluff
Fun Fact about Bluff....we have a food pantry!! Our food pantry is supplied by Riverbend Food Bank. Through the hard work of Nurse Katie and Mrs. Loots, they order and stock our food pantry often. We have food, some hygiene products, and even some at food and other items. PLEASE use this resource!! If you would like to come during the day or even afterschool, we can make arrangements! Just call the office and we will find a time that works for you! 563-242-1606
BINGO Night!
Please join us on Thursday, November 6 for the PTA BINGO Night! We will unlock the doors at 5:15 and BINGO will start at 5:30. We will have sweet treats and popcorn for sale, along with water. We have some great prizes this year, including two hams and two turkeys for adult winners! Please join us for the fun!!
Happy Joe's Night!
Our next PTA Fundraiser is Happy Joe's Night on Wednesday, November 12! Bluff PTA will get money from every order that is made. You can dine in or carry out!! Enjoy great food, while supporting Bluff at the same time!!
