JODEE DeROSE

Dear Stallion Families,

Our daily video announcements are now live! You can view them on our website by clicking the YouTube icon or navigating to OUR SCHOOL/MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night at the Fall Festival! Thank you all so much for participating in our Candy Wars, your generous donations will make this event a wonderful experience for our students.

As you prepare for our upcoming Halloween parade and classroom parties, please keep district dress code guidelines in mind when planning your childโ€™s costume. All costumes must be school-appropriate, with no masks, weapons, fake blood, or gore allowed. Additionally, students should wear school-appropriate clothing underneath their costume or bring a change of clothes for the remainder of the day.

As we enjoy these fall traditions, we want to express our gratitude for your continued partnership in prioritizing regular attendance. Missing just two days each month, 10% of the school year, or 18 days total, qualifies a student as chronically absent. Please keep in mind that both excused and unexcused absences count toward this total. Attending school on time every day helps students build foundational reading and math skills, stay connected with peers, and feel confident in their learning. Thank you for helping your child cultivate these positive habits early!

Finally, we have a couple of important community updates:

  • 2026 Colorado General Election: Make sure to vote and track your ballot at GoVoteColorado.com.

  • Apple Awards Nominations: We are entering our final days for Apple Award nominations. Please make sure nominate our exceptional educators and staff who inspire our students. You can do this by visiting The Foundation for Douglas County Schools website.

Thank you for your ongoing partnership, support, and Stallion pride!

Warmly,
Jodee DeRose - Principal
