Cohort Update "Action" -2022-
"History in the Making" (3/1/21)
- Action -
Greetings class of 2022 and to the Warrior Nation,
What a week we have before us. We will be wrapping up ISTEP & WIDA testing, jumping into a full week of curriculum and entering into the 2nd week of senior scheduling. For lack of better words, it's time for some Action!!! So, this is a funny little word and often has an interesting affect on most of our lives. Merriam-Webster defines it simply by saying it's: "a thing done; the accomplishment of a thing usually over a period of time, in stages, or with the possibility of repetition; an act of will; or the manner or method of performing something". But, this small word is not as powerful until it is put into the verb tense. Think about how many ideas each of us have had that we have not taken the action steps necessary to put our dreams in motion. Think about a few of the best songs you know. What about the best movie you can remember? Or, the most successful people that you can think about? What makes them stick out to you? What makes them unique? Why are they successful? The answer is not hidden or tricky. All of these examples have something in common - Lights, Camera, and put it into ACTION! Putting your dreams in motion is taking action on your ideas. Jamming out to your favorite song is taking action on the beat that moves your feet. And creating a successful life for yourself is taking action on the small daily tasks, over and over, until you have mastered your craft or skillset. I challenge each of you to utilize the time that you have this week to take effective action on your life. Maximize your talents and turn your wishes into Action steps to become a better YOU!
Have a super week and just be AWESOME!!!
WC-Strong!
Much Love,

Hey favorite people! TAKE ACTION NOW! "Wanting is not enough, ACT upon your GOALS! If somebody was watching your day to day behavior, would they be able to see what you are working towards? If the answer is no, FIX IT!"-Steve Maraboli.
RIGHT NOW, not tomorrow, not next week, RIGHT NOW is the time to take ACTION! Write down three goals and two ACTION steps to get you there. If you are struggling with this process, email me, slide in and see me, or schedule a Zoom, and you know I got your back! Why, because I love you and that's just the way it's going to be!!!
Take a deep breath and let's make the most of the time we have this week! Here's to being excellent and awesome!!!
- Never stop trying...
- Never stop believing...
- Never give up on yourself...
- Because you are enough...
Guess who Loves you?

Front Desk Facts...
From Mrs. Boyd - your Cohort Secretary!!!
PLEASE stop by the office and say "what's up" on your scheduled in person day or email me when you get a minute. Y 'all know how much I appreciate and love seeing your faces.
Ok, so Mr. Russell struck a cord in my backbone with the theme this week. I'm not saying I'm coming for you team, but this Action theme is real 2022! Being a Warren graduate myself, I know first hand what is offered in the high school and through the Walker Career Center. What gets me fired up is knowing how smart, beautiful and talented every one of you really are. But, sometimes how wasteful some of us can be when we let ourselves slip on the slide and not get that work in. Put your foot down 2022 and take action on your business. It's your life so you have to make the most of it. You know I'm here to do whatever I can, but low key, you have to be the leader of your own journey. Let's step up Juniors...come on now!
Remember, If you have a new phone number, email address or new address where you live please get that information to me as soon as possible. If you have moved or your address has changed you must provide me with a new lease or mortgage and utility bill information.
Work permits are still being accepted. You can come by with your completed forms and I will look up all of your information to see if you will granted permission to be employed and earn some good money this semester. FYI...school work comes first!
You have 24 hours each day to make moves, use your time wisely!!!

We are in full swing for Senior Scheduling....
The plan remains the same for this week. Both counselors are in Action pulling students out of US History classes for both in person and virtual meetings. If you do not have a US History class you will meet with your counselor virtually or at another appropriate time during the school day as classes and time allows.
To help better prepare and to ensure that your time is utilized during your meeting with your counselor, please take note of the following items...
1. Students are expected to have at least 12 of their 14 classes picked ahead of time in the Course Request tab on your Synergy page. Be sure to select the classes that you WANT to take and we will double check to ensure all selections are appropriate and or needed. Please be sure to encourage your parents and or guardians to look through these selections as well. Scheduling Video Attached.
2. For time sake, and so we know what classes you want to take, please select classes that you want to take! Even if you think you won't need some of these subjects or plan to take something in summer school, you are better to add it in and discuss that with your counselor during your meeting. We advise you to sign up for...
* 2 semesters of English
* 2 semesters of Math
* 2 semesters of Science
* 1 semester of Government
* 1 semester of Economics
3. Sessions will be approximately 10-minute in length and can be found in the link on the 2022 Canvas page. You must sign up at least 1 day in advance for your timeslot. The counselors need at least 1 day in advance to prepare your items so your time spent will be productive and beneficial to your goals of graduating in 2022!!!
(Click below to sign up for your 10 minute spot)
Ms. Reynolds will be available via Zoom from 8:00 AM-1:00 PM on Gold Days.
Mr. Howe will be available via Zoom from 8:00 AM-1:00 PM on Black Days.
Also keep in mind that the recommended classes that were pre-loaded for you are only based on your classes and performance this year and not on your performance as a whole. As we check your schedule, the recommendation for you may change. We will communicate these changes with you as we go.
Please remember to reach out to Mr. Fletcher with questions about SAT/ACT, fee waivers, scholarships, college applications, and all things related to preparing to continue your education. gfletche@warren.k12.in.us
Don't forget that we love you...
Don't forget that we're proud of you...
Most importantly, don't forget to love and be proud of yourself!
We LOVE you 2022...
