September 7th, 2020 Edition

A Message from Mrs. Mullins

Good Evening Hunter Families,

The entire Hunter Elementary Staff is excited to welcome our students back tomorrow. We are committed to making it a wonderful school year. There may be a few kinks to iron out as we implement many new processes but we are certain students, families and staff will quickly find a rhythm. I am not using this opportunity to share new information. However, I am sure many emotions are whirling around in each of you and each of your students. It felt appropriate to check-in this evening.

A few reminders to ensure your student(s) has a great day tomorrow:

-Start your morning administering the At-Home Family Health Screener (attached below).

-If you have a GSD device (Ipad or Chromebook) bring it with you. Make sure it is charged.

-Pack an extra mask or two, incase one gets wet or dirty.

-Make sure you can open up everything in your lunch by yourself.

-If your child is buying lunch, the September lunch menu is attached below.

-Pack a personal water bottle.

We know it will be a different first day of school, as students must walk independently into the building. We have our entire staff ready to help students feel safe and comfortable. Arrival is meant to be staggered to help with traffic flow and congestion.

If your child is walking to or from school, please let them know they can meet you on the black top near the big playground (East end of building) or by the bike rack near the sidewalk. Again, we have staff ready to help with these new processes and your student will not be left to find their way alone.

Thank you for entering into this school year with us with open minds. We are ready to approach each day with empathy, kindness and dedication.
