A huge Welcome Back and a warm welcome to our incoming Pre-K and Kindergarten students and their families! We’re so excited to have you join our school community. I hope everyone had a wonderful summer filled with fun, relaxation, and lasting memories. Let’s get ready to launch into an amazing school year!

This marks the first of our weekly newsletters, which you’ll receive every Sunday night via a phone call from me and an email with a link to the full newsletter. Each edition will share updates on school events, highlight the incredible accomplishments of our students, and provide important information to keep you connected. Be sure to check your email regularly for these updates!

In this week’s newsletter, we’re focusing on key information to help you start the school year smoothly. You’ll find details on important dates, supply lists, and tips for preparing your child for their first day. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out by phone or email—our team is here to support you. With a few weeks of summer still ahead, enjoy the sunshine, splash in the pool, or reel in a few more fish. The first day of school is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to see you!

Class list will be posted on August 18th. Be sure to come to our Open House to meet your teacher! Information will be made available on Home Access Center (HAC) that morning. When you meet your teacher, be sure to ask them if they are requesting any additional materials or school supplies.

Our main office is open daily Monday-Friday from 8am-3pm.

Registrations appointments can be made by calling the office.

Kindergarten Registration - Open registration for students who will be five years old by September 1, 2025 continues throughout the summer.

SMCPS Registration Information

Required documents include:

• Proof of residence
• Evidence of Birth
• Immunization Record
• Court papers regarding custody (if applicable)
• Photo ID of parent/guardian

if you have any questions, please call the office to speak with Mrs. McKinney or Mrs. Joy.

If you plan on picking up your child throughout the year it is beneficial to sign up for a Parent Pick up Number. We will issue TWO hangtags per family. Dismissal will start at 3:45, please be in line prior to the start of dismissal. Sometimes things happen and you are running late, you will need to call the Office as soon as possible.

Please check the SMCPS Transportation website (below) to look up pick up and drop off location.

Dynard Elementary is currently recieves 40% Free and Reduced Benefits. These benefits allow all students to receive a free breakfast everyday. Please complete the forms below so that we may continue to provide this service for all students.

The Google Permission must be completed each school year. Only a parent or guardian can complete the Google Permission form.

Did you know you can help our school earn money by using the box tops for education app? Use the link below to download the app and follow the instructions to create an account. The site will ask you what school you would like to support, type in Dynard and our school can start collecting money.
