Annual State Capitol Trip - October 23

Our annual third-grade trip to the State Capitol is scheduled for Friday, October 23. Students will travel by charter bus.

Please help ensure that:

  • Every student has a signed permission slip to attend.

  • All necessary funds have been collected by teachers. The cost is $15.00 due to fundraising. If you need assistance see your child's teacher. We will not allow anyone to miss this trip due to lack of funds.

  • Anyone planning to chaperone has completed a background check and been cleared by Thursday. This means if you haven't completed and returned your background check, please make sure that you do that by Tuesday, Oct. 21.

Departure: 9:15 AM
Return: 3:30 PM

Please make sure students are on time to catch the bus. This should be an amazing experience for our third graders. Thank you for helping make the trip a success!

Free Costumes - Located in the Office

Northglade's wonderful PTO would love for Northglade students to have the approximately 18 costumes left over from the Costume Exchange after the Fun Run. Sizes are limited, and most costumes look like they would fit children up to third grade. Most are traditionally boy-style costumes, and two homemade options are not gender-specific.

Students may bring a note from home to pick out a costume, and office staff will assist them. Families are also welcome to come into the building to choose a costume for their student.

Costumes are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Thank you Northglade's PTO for assisting our students.

Friendly Reminders

Dear Families,

We hope you're having a wonderful year! Here are a few friendly reminders to help keep our school running smoothly.

Parking & Bus Lane: There is no parking in the bus lane at any time. The bus lane is along the side of the walkway by the entrance door.

Dismissal Changes: Please remember to call the office before 3:00 p.m. to make dismissal changes (11:00 on half-days.) We cannot guarantee that the message will get to teachers if made afterwards.

Absences: Please remember that if a student is out of school for three days, they should have a doctor's note when they return.

Health Reminders: Please remind students to wash their hands regularly to help prevent the spread of germs.

No Costumes - Students may not wear costumes to school at any time.

Thank you for your partnership and support!
