Move Forward with TX CAN

With so much to do and keep track of, it can be difficult to stay on top of things. TX CAN is here to help you. This month, we highlight two resources to keep you on target and in line with best practices.

Our January Monthly Instructional Guide addresses mid-year assessment, transitioning new students, indoor activities, and more. The Monthly Instructional Guides were developed to give you timely guidance all year long

It’s important for everyone to learn and grow. When supporting students with significant cognitive disabilities, it’s all about presuming competence and finding the most appropriate supports to provide connection and access. Research suggests when given appropriate supports, the significance of a student’s cognitive disability is lessened. Take the TX CAN course Presuming Competence to learn more about the research and how you can broaden the horizon for your students.

Visit txcan.tea.texas.gov to learn more and stay current, or reach out to me, your regional TX CAN contact, for support!
