MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL BANKS
Greetings Lindblom MSA Eagles,
Can you believe we have only one Friday left in this school year? As I reflect on the highs and lows of this year, I am so proud of how much we have grown together. Looking ahead, I want to be transparent about our initial FY27 budget allocations. Current CPS budget shortfalls mean we are facing a very tight budget reality. I recognize that this brings valid concerns for all of us. I share those concerns, and I am actively fighting for our school. I have already submitted appeals for additional positions and funding.
I will share updates during our Special ALSC meeting on Tuesday, May 26, at 5:00 p.m. Families and community members are welcome to attend in person or online by using this LINK.
Despite budget-related challenges, we will not waver on our mission. We will continue to prioritize high-quality instruction, unique programming, and distinctive experiences that define Lindblom MSA. We are a resilient community that solves problems together. To that end, if you know of any philanthropic organizations or partners who might want to help fund staff positions or programs, please submit their information here.
Together we rise onward and upward,
Principal Banks
~Swoop, swoop!
P.S. I am one of a few principals featured in the Spring 2026 Issue 12 CPS School Leader Magazine. Thank you for contributing to my leadership journey.
The refinishing project for both gym floors begins on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. PE teachers will communicate with their respective students regarding class relocations. The project is set to finish by July 1.
