Facility Improvement & Expansion Project
The construction project bid packages are out and there are several inquiries about the project.
The complete project with new construction for Welding and Diesel programs (phase 1), expansion of Auto, Culinary Arts, and Early Childhood Ed programs spaces in the main building (phase 2), and expansion of Health Careers, Criminal Justice, and Computer Tech programs in the high school building along with administrative/workforce development spaces (phase 3) is an estimated $12.3 million. The base bid will include phases 1 and 2 with add-on alternates for phase 3 to keep the total cost of the project at $10 million which is what we have funding committed for between the member school districts and the RACP grant.
We continue to seek additional grant funds, sponsorships, and donations in order to complete the necessary expansion/renovation of all program spaces.
Contractor bids are due July 23rd.
LycoCTC Board meeting on August 7th to approve bids and determine the scope of the project.
Construction begins November 2025 with an August 2026 completion date, and new programs opening when school starts in August 2026.
