A HUGE SHOUT OUT TO OUR AWARD-WINNING SHOW CHOIR, VIVACE! 🎉
Vivace had a full week of rehearsals and performances. On Thursday (2/20), they competed at the North Texas Show Choir Invitational in Mansfield and placed SECOND! 🥈 Then, on Saturday (2/22), they competed at the inaugural HEB Show Choir Invitational, where they made FINALS and placed 5th runner-up! 🌟
These are significant accomplishments and a true testament to the talent, hard work, and dedication of our amazing Vivace singers. Please help us congratulate them for their outstanding performances!

As we continue preparing for UIL, please be sure to review this week's before/after-school rehearsal schedule (see below). Regular rehearsal attendance is crucial, as uncommunicated absences could affect participation in UIL. Let's keep up the hard work and continue to shine together! 💪

Plano Civic Chorus is pleased to announce that this year we have doubled the scholarship awards for our Merritt Felmly Scholarship Fund. FOUR $1000 scholarships will be awarded; two to high school seniors and two to college students at either the undergrad or graduate level. Additionally, the choral program of each high school student winner will receive $250 for their program. For details, visit the link below.

Applications are due February 28, 2025.

The Coppell Community Chorale will award at least three (3) scholarships to undergraduate students who demonstrate appreciation for choral music through participation in school, church, and/or community choir.

• Two (2) awards will be made to students who intend to pursue an academic challenge in a discipline other than, or in addition to, music.

• One (1) award will be made to a student who intends to pursue music.

Note: Students who have performed with the Coppell Community Chorale will be given preference for this award

Applications will be accepted through Friday, March 28, 2025.

We are thrilled to share some incredible news about our very own, award-winning show choir, Vivace! not only competed with incredible passion and talent, but they also PLACED SECOND at the NTSCI competition in Mansfield! 🥈

This achievement is monumental, especially considering it is only their second year participating in show choir competitions. This is a huge testament to the dedication and hard work of our amazing singers. We couldn’t be more proud of their well-deserved recognition!

SRF Monthly Quizzes

You will take a monthly SRF quiz at the end of every month. This will be a Performance Tasks

Grade. You only get 2 tries so be sure that your wifi connection is good and your audio sound is

on. You have the entire month to take the quiz. Every month’s quiz will be due on the LAST

FRIDAY of the month at 10PM. NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

SRF Practice Log

Each singer is expected to practice sight reading on SRF for 10 minutes per week (2 minutes

each day of the week) and 40 minutes per month. This will be a completion grade. SRF will

keep track of all your practice log data. We will give one Performance Tasks monthly SRF

Practice Log each month. Please be sure to practice SRF weekly. Each week will start on SUNDAY and end on SATURDAY.
