A Note from the Principal
Dear Jefferson Families,
The holiday season is upon us! Hanukkah started last Thursday and extends through tonight. We wish all who celebrate a Happy Hanukkah! As you know, next week is our last week of school before winter break and Friday, December 22nd is an early release day for students. That afternoon is a teacher-directed professional development day for staff and there will be a family newsletter sent home that day.
Please see below for important news, resources, and information!
Best Regards,
Stefani Wasik, Principal

Report Cards - Troubleshooting in Aspen
As you know, Report Cards were released in Aspen on Thursday. If you are having trouble logging into Aspen, try the following:
If you do not remember your password, reset it using the ‘I forgot my password’ link on the log on page.
If you do not know your LoginID, it is your email address (in all lowercase, this is important!)
If your account is disabled, you can send an email to aspenpasswords@franklinps.net and request a reset.
* Report cards can only be viewed on a desktop/laptop, not a mobile device such as a phone or tablet.
Whole School Assembly
Last week, our first grade teachers and students led the Whole School Assembly! Their topic was community and students worked to highlight their favorite places around Franklin. Students also shared some special statistics about the Franklin Public School community! Did you know Franklin Public Schools students come from 37 different countries and speak 35 different languages? We are so proud of our first graders for leading Jefferson School in this way!
Lost and Found
We have a large number of items in our Lost and Found that need to get back to the right students. There are jackets, sweatshirts, sweaters, water bottles and more. Please encourage your child to visit the lost and found (next to the front office) and reclaim any clothing that may belong to them. Items not claimed by winter break will be donated to charity.
Donations Wanted!
Mrs. Bergeron, Library ESP, is looking for donations of paper towel, wrapping paper and toilet paper rolls for STEM Explorations. The class could also use empty tissue boxes. If you have any to donate, please send them in!
Instructional Technology in Kindergarten
One of the bigger tasks teachers have is getting Kindergarten students to be independent logging in and navigating their Chromebooks. Check out the link below to see a Kindergartener navigating like an expert using the skills we have learned in Instructional Technology!
Fine Motor Fun - A Note from Mrs. Hover, Occupational Therapist
Interested in having some Festive Fine Motor Fun? November & December are great times of year to work on a variety of fine motor skills with children of all ages! Please see the link below for ideas to try this season from Mrs. Kara Hover, MOT, OT.
Inclement Weather School Closings & Notifications
As this is New England, we are apt to have days when the weather is inclement, and it is important we all understand how the process works to be as prepared as possible. Please read the notice below from Superintendent Giguere for more information, which will be updated on Franklin Public Schools' website under the "About Us" tab.
FHS Peer Leaders Club Clothing Drive
The FHS Peer Leaders Club is hosting a district clothing drive! Peer Leaders are hoping to collect a variety of gently used or new winter clothes for students K-12. Please see the flyer below for more information. Clothing donations will be collected in our main office, then sorted and organized by Peer Leadership members. Please contact Club Advisor and District Social Worker Brittany Crosby at crosbyb@franklinps.net or (508) 613-1408 with any questions!

As many of you know, the PCC, or Parent Communication Council, is a group of parent volunteers that work with the staff and administration of the school to enrich students' educational experience. This is done through fundraisers, events, and activities. The PCC fully funds field trips for every student at Jefferson, holds Book Fairs, hosts Cultural Enrichment Assemblies for the children, and sponsors the Artist in Residence Program each year.
