Next week, during Social Studies classes, all students will begin turning in their school devices and accessories. Be sure to come prepared! 7th grade students will turn in their devices next Monday, May 19th and 8th grade students will turn in their devices on Tuesday, May 20th.

✅ What to Bring:

• Your Chromebook (with the school-issued cover still on it)

• Your charger

• Your Chromebook bag

Students will:

• Clean out their Chromebook bag

• Wipe down their device

• Turn everything in to their Social Studies teacher for inventory

🔍 Before You Turn It In...

Take some time this week to prepare by doing the following:

📌 Turn in any remaining digital assignments

📌 Organize your Google Drive
Use SRT time to create folders, delete old files, and clean up your Drive. It’ll help you stay organized for next year!

The end of the school year is just around the corner, which means… it's time to clean out your locker! 🎉

Next Wednesday, May 20th, during SRT, all students will need to completely empty their lockers as we get ready for summer break and prepare the school for next year.

🗓️ What You Need to Do:

✅ Take Everything Home

Make sure to bring a backpack or an extra bag to carry home all your things — notebooks, water bottles, and random items that have somehow lived in your locker all year.

🗑️ Throw Away or Recycle Trash

Old papers, dried-out pens, empty snack wrappers… if you don’t need it, toss it! Recycling bins and trash cans will be available near the hallways.

🧽 Wipe It Down

Each student will be asked to quickly wipe down the inside of their locker to leave it clean for next year. We’ll provide disinfecting wipes or paper towels for this part.

Next week, we’re going to ring in summer time with a SPIRIT WEEK celebration! Each day will have a fun dress-up theme — so get creative, have fun, and show your school spirit as we wrap up a fantastic year at JCMS!

As our end of the school year is approaching, we will be hosting our fourth quarter celebration on the last day of school. Just like past celebrations, there are some criteria that students have to meet in order to attend:

Students should not have:

• No failing grades this quarter
• No more than three unexcused absences this quarter
• No more than three discipline referrals this quarter

The Jennings County Active Transportation Committee is hosting a Spring Bike Maintenance Clinic on

Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 10am to 12 noon in the parking lot of St. Mary's School. Bring your kids (or your own) bike for a quick inspection of the basic maintenance and preparations that should be done prior to every ride, and some quick recommendations on other issues that may need to be

addressed on your bikes for an enjoyable and safe ride. Help your kids learn the ABCs of bike safety

that should be done prior to every ride.

For any current 5th, 6th or 7th grader who plans to participate in sports for the 25-26 school year. Fall sports will begin before school starts. Be on look-out for more info.

Lady Panther Basketball is excited to announce the dates/times of our spring "Get Better" sessions. These sessions are FREE of charge and are open to girls currently in 5th through 11th grade (groups separated based on skill level).

For those new to Lady Panther Basketball, these are great opportunities to become familiar with our program, learn the game, and work with members of our Lady Panther coaching staff.

Who: Girls currently in 5th - 11th grade

Location: JCHS Main Gym, unless specified.

Reminder: to participate in athletics, student athletes MUST have a sports physical on file at JCMS and must be registered on Final Forms.

Schneck Urgent Care at 1124 Medical Pl. Seymour, IN 47274 is open from 8 am to 8 pm Monday-Friday and 8 am to 5 pm Saturday and Sunday. This location offers sports physicals for $25 cash/debit/credit (meaning they do not run insurance)

If your athlete attended tonight’s after school workout and did not have a physical on file, they received a form that can be filled out and taken to their physical. Having this filled out ahead of time will make your trip much quicker. If they do not have a form, they can get one from the JCMS athletic office!
