Hello River Bend Families!
We have an added safety feature to the front entrance of the building. There is a camera system on the first set of doors. You will need to press that button (silver box mounted on the door) to be buzzed into the vestibule. This is just an added layer:-)
Thank you so much to PTO for sponsoring our Culture Fair on Wednesday evening. We are so grateful to all of OUR River Bend families and students for showcasing their countries, cultures, food, and so much more. I say it all the time... it is the PEOPLE that make our school so special!
Today is the last day to order a River Bend yearbook. See the information and order link/QR code in the PTO section below.
There are a lot of flyers below. Check them out.

Curious Kid at Work!
5th grader, Abe, wanted to dig into finding out if students' eating and sleeping habits, along with water consumption, impacted how they performed at school. Here is what he had to say:
I decided for my topic ten data and statistics projects I would do a survey. My teacher Ms. Gordon told me to check with Dr.Otto. I checked and she loved the idea. She even told me I could have 3rd, 4th and 5th graders taking this. I found out that 5th graders eat lots of protein for lunch, this includes lunch meat turkey pork fish and much more. I also found out that 5th graders don’t get as much vegetables as I thought. For 4th grade I decided to look at their breakfast. I noticed that grains like pancakes, waffles, cereal, and toast. Remaining very popular between breakfast for 4th graders. Fruit however unlike in lunches was not the most popular among the 4th grade students. Not all 3rd graders were available to take the survey. However, the data I did receive showed the trend of the vast majority saying they think they drink enough water and get enough sleep.
They also thought that these actions help them in school.
