A Message from the Principal

There are a lot of great things going on around the RANCH that I am so proud of and hope that you are too! Thank you for showing how #YouCantStopExcellence at JWMHS!

We have begun the course selection process for next year. Tomorrow is our Course Selection Night (January 31st) at 6:30PM at the JWMHS Gym. Don’t forget to go to Mrs. Chamberlin’s session on Future Planning so that you know what to do each year to prepare for life after high school.

On Wednesday, February 2nd, we will have our next Early Release Day.

In RANCH we will celebrate Black History Month and we will continue to review human trafficking and mental health issues.

Seniors, the Pasco Education Foundation and JWMHS local scholarship application window closes tomorrow, January 31st at 11:59PM. Check the Class of 2022 Senior myLearning page for the application.

Seniors! We are excited to announce that we will be attending Grad Bash this year at Universal Studios on Friday, April 8th! You can purchase your ticket on Rycor/School Pay now.

The Senior Graduation Fee is $100 and can be paid on Rycor/Student Pay. This graduation fee is due on May 25th.

Our Junior/Senior Prom will be held on March 26th at 6PM at Innisbrook. More information will come, but students need to make sure that they are in good standing for attendance, GPA, and behavior in order to attend Prom. This includes attending classes, including RANCH.

Best wishes to Indoor Percussion as they perform this week. Also, we hope that our HOSA students do well in their competition this weekend, as well as our band students who have District Solo and Ensemble.

Congratulations to our Girls Weightlifting Team who won the Regional Snatch Championship! Good luck to all of our Winter Sports this week! Play with integrity and good sportsmanship!

Get your commemorative 1st annual Trinity Cup t-shirt. Now available on Rycor/Student Pay starting Monday at noon. Once purchased, you can pick up your t-shirt from Mrs. Van de Boe in the Main Office. When you wear this shirt to any of our spring games against RRHS at home, you will get in free. Get them while they last!!!

Please make sure that you can pass the Covid-19 screener (Student Covid-19 Screener) each morning that is found on our website. If you cannot, please stay home. If you are positive for Covid-19 or have been exposed to someone who is positive for Covid-19, please stay home and contact your administrator so that we can help you with your school work.

You can expect weekly newsletters to keep you up to date as to what is happening at JWMHS around the ranch, as well as a weekly School Messenger call on Sunday night around 6:30PM. A good way of staying up to date on school information is to visit our website at https://jwmhs.pasco.k12.fl.us/ and follow us on Twitter and Instagram (both @JWMHS), as well as like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/jwmitchellhighschool! From there you can find several sources of information that will keep you informed of all the happenings at JW Mitchell High School.

We will strive to provide the best education possible for your child. If at any time during the school year you feel the need to contact me, please email me at jschultz@pasco.k12.fl.us or call (727) 774-9202.

I am very proud of the things going on in Mustang Nation! Let’s make more excellence this week!

Dual Enrollment

Dual Enrollment for the Spring semester has closed. Students in off campus DE classes should have also picked up their textbooks by now, but the latest pick up time is Jan 21st at 4pm at the district office.

Please watch the district Dual Enrollment website (http://www.pasco.k12.fl.us/oll/page/dual-enrollment) for updated information or to see what Dual Enrollment offers. There are several DE classes that are also offered online via Pasco eSchool. Registration for the Summer Semester will begin in late March/early April. Please know that the summer session runs 10 weeks (May 9-July 14). This is before our school year ends, so students must find classes that work with their current school schedule (or take them online).

It is important that DE students join the Remind for their specific situation so they don't miss important DE information. Send a text to 81010 with the appropriate code:
