💛💙 Huge shout-out to our incredible Sheridan Middle School PTO! 💙💛 You feed our teachers, bring snacks, volunteer at dances, and plan fun events for our students — all with amazing energy and heart. Thank you for everything you do to make SMS such a great place!

This month we are challenging your student to be kind to others, even when it’s hard. We are partnering with you to help your child grow in kindness. Most children learn new behaviors by copying those around them; we have a powerful opportunity and responsibility to teach kindness by example. This month, model kindness and empower your children to show compassion to those around them with these recommended activities that will be featured in upcoming February newsletters - Self-love Letter, Affirmation Boxes, and Intentional Kindness.

EXCEL: As a family, list 25 random acts of kindness you can accomplish this month. Then, make a plan for how you’ll do each act. At the end of the month, reflect and celebrate. Encourage your child to share how it made them feel completing these random acts of kindness.

Our Sheridan Middle School Yellowjackets had an amazing time showcasing their basketball skills at the Special Olympics on Wednesday! We’re so proud of their hard work, teamwork, and school spirit on and off the court. A huge thank you to Mr. Wesley Anderson and Ms. Kacie VanAcker for all you do! They brought home: 4 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal
