RCVA HANDBOOK REMINDER: GPA / GRADES REQUIREMENTS

To maintain enrollment in RCVA, students must meet the following grades / GPA requirements every quarter marking period:

K-8- Must pass all courses.

If a student is not passing all courses at the end of each 9 weeks grading period (including the state required minutes for electives in elementary), they will need to report back to their original RSD school building for all classes.

9-12- Students may only have one failing grade and must maintain a 2.0 GPA.

If a 10-12th grade student has 40% or lower in most of their classes at 4 weeks, they will report back to RHS.
If a student does not meet the requirements at each 9 weeks period, they will report back to RHS/RJHS for all classes.
If the student has a 1.5-1.99 (but is passing all courses), they will be placed on academic probation for one semester to have the opportunity to improve their GPA to a 2.0. If the student does not improve their GPA to a 2.0 after one semester they will be enrolled at an onsite campus.

Congratulations to Sheila Gamero, RCVA January Staff Member of the Month!
