Help MEA Key Club to Support Reading Heart
🔑 MEA's Key Club invites students to create and donate homemade bookmarks! These will be donated to kids in hospitals, schools, and underserved communities through Reading Heart, a non-profit based in Fresno. The office will have an assortment of blank bookmarks that students can either decorate on campus or bring home and drop off in the donation box beside it.
Parents, feel free to not only encourage your student to participate, but also make a bookmark with them. You can make something completely unique or take inspiration from designs online! We appreciate donations from anyone!
We'll be accepting the finished bookmarks up until November 19th – we have a goal of at least 50 bookmarks to reach! We're excited to see the designs people come up with!
Civil Discourse

Leader in Me
This school year our school will continue to focus on Leader in Me and the 7 Habits of highly effective kids and teens. Check the Monday Message each month for the monthly focus and what you can do at home to support your child.
During month 4, we are focusing in on Habit 3: "Put First Things First". Students will be able to decide what is most important and take care of that first. They can set priorities, make a schedule, and follow a plan.
The elementary classes and middle school AVID class are doing lessons with your students in class and assigned at home.
Here is a link to a Family Exercise in Putting First Things First and enjoy this 7 Habits reflection video specific to Habit 3!
Please check out this Leader in Me Family Overview Guide that highlights the Core Paradigms and the Habits in one succinct resource.
