Principal Lima's Eagle News
Dear Families and Students,
This week at DES, we proudly celebrated our Special Olympics athletes, and they did an amazing job today! We are so proud of their hard work, determination, and sportsmanship. It was truly wonderful to see our Eagles supporting inclusion throughout the week and showing kindness to one another.
Our Grade 3 students had a successful field trip where they saw many birds and other animals, learning fascinating facts — including about even the smallest baby hummingbird!
Grade 1 also enjoyed a walking field trip to Bristol Aggie today. Students learned about plants and even had the opportunity to bring some home to continue their learning.
We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and gets to enjoy some sunshine! ☀️💚💛
As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Katelyn Lima, Principal (klima@drregional.org)
Mr. Kenneth Girouard, Assistant Principal (kgirouard@drregional.org)

Popcorn in Grade 4
The students in Grade 4 earned a Popcorn Day, accompanied by a movie or outdoor recess, for successfully completing their Grade 4 MCAS assessments. Their peers in TLC made and delivered the popcorn as part of their life skills program, and joined their peers in various Grade 4 home rooms to enjoy a movie of their choice. This week being “Inclusion Week”, it felt like a perfect way to celebrate everyone’s hard work and the idea that everyone is welcome. It was a great afternoon to be a DES Eagle!
