THE BEAR ESSENTIALS
Week of May 11, 2026
Hello Bear Families,
As we approach next week, we prepare to celebrate a very special milestone, our seniors’ final week of school. The Class of 2026 has brought so much laughter, joy, and positive energy to our hallways and school community. They have truly left their mark, and while we will miss them greatly, we are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished.
We would also like to take a moment to recognize Mother's Day this Sunday. This day is an opportunity to celebrate the care, strength, and unwavering support that so many provide to our students. To all mothers, grandmothers, guardians, and those who step in as mother figures, thank you. Whether through encouragement, guidance, sacrifice, or simply being present, you play a vital role in shaping the lives and futures of our children. Your love and dedication make a lasting difference, and we are truly grateful for all that you do each and every day.
This week is filled with meaningful moments as we honor our seniors and celebrate their journey. Thank you for your continued support in helping make this a memorable and positive experience for the Class of 2026.
With pride and appreciation,
Go Bears!
Mr. Reynolds, Mr. Hickey, Mrs. Bukosky, Mr. Petrick, and Mr. Schley

May is Mental Health Awareness Month
In honor of mental health awareness in May, The Guidance Center is hosting a free event on May 12 for the community featuring a wonderful speaker from the MI Child Protection Registry. The presentation is geared towards parents on how to keep their children safe in today's internet/app-based world and how to have open conversations with youth about the topic. Open up the PDF for more information.
Fundraisers
Starting now and running through Friday, May 15, we are accepting cash donations to support the National Kidney Foundation. Every contribution makes a difference in the fight against kidney disease.
Additionally, if you want to show your support in a more active way, consider joining us for the Kidney Walk! More information can be found in the attachment.
Thank you for your generosity and support! Together, we can make a positive impact in the lives of those affected by kidney disease.
