The Wallin Way Weekly Newsletter
Friday, March 20th
Good Evening K9 Families,
It has been such a fantastic week here at Wallin Oaks! We were thrilled to host our 2nd and 3rd grade music concerts and art show, and our students truly shined in every way. From their beautiful, confident singing on stage to the incredible creativity displayed in their artwork, it was clear how much time, effort, and pride they put into their work. These events are always such a special opportunity to celebrate our students’ talents, and they certainly did not disappoint!
A special shoutout goes to our music teacher, Mx. Chase, for leading our students and helping them prepare such a wonderful performance. We also want to thank our social worker, Mr. Whitmore, for sharing his musical talents and playing guitar during the concert! And of course, a big thank you to our art teacher, Mrs. Moraga, for putting together a beautiful display of student artwork that truly highlighted our students’ creativity and hard work.
It was also wonderful to see so many of our families in the building, supporting and celebrating alongside us. The energy, excitement, and sense of community throughout the evening made it even more meaningful. Thank you for partnering with us and helping make experiences like this so memorable for our students.
We are so proud of our K9s and all they accomplished this week.
We hope you have a relaxing and enjoyable weekend!

School Information
Attendance and Transportation Reminders
We kindly ask all families to notify both the classroom teacher and the main office if your student will be absent for any reason. Clear communication helps us ensure accurate attendance records and maintain a safe, organized school environment.
Additionally, if there are any changes to your child’s transportation plans—such as switching from a bus rider to a car rider—please inform the main office directly. Our office staff will relay the information to the appropriate teacher.
Lastly, for the safety and efficiency of our drop-off procedure, please pull all the way forward in the car line and have students exit the vehicle on the side of the school.
Thank you for helping us keep everything running smoothly!
Pick Up and Drop Off Reminders
Morning Drop Off
For the safety of all students, we kindly ask that families do not park at Ira Jones during morning drop-off. Instead, please use the designated car line, which is designed to keep traffic moving safely and efficiently.
To help maintain a steady flow, we also ask that drivers remain in their vehicles at all times during drop-off. Following these procedures ensures a safe and smooth start to the day for everyone.
Afternoon Pick Up
Please remember to turn off your car while waiting to pick up your student after school. Running cars pose a safety risk for students and teachers walking up and down the car lines, and it's also important to reduce the fumes in the air for everyone’s health. Thank you for helping us keep our school environment safe and healthy!
