Early Dismissal - Thursday 8/27/26

This week we will have an altered bell schedule on Thursday 8/27/26 due to the Open House in the evening. Students will be dismissed from classes at 11:50.

Parent Open House

Please make sure to mark your calendar for our annual parent open house this Thursday 8/27/26. The event begins promptly at 7:00pm. Classes end at 11:50 that day. For questions related to open house please reach out to Assistant Principal Scott Newmark.

Practice ACT

On the morning of open house (Thursday, August 27), all Juniors will be taking the practice ACT test during school hours. Please see Mr. Newmark in the Intervention Office with any questions.

Juniors should report directly to their assigned testing location based on last name:

Main Gym: Last names A–L
South Gym: Last names M–Z

Testing begins promptly at 7:30am.

After School ACT Prep Courses

Did you know that Fremd has two free ACT Prep Courses? Mr. Grattoni teaches ACT Math & Science and Mrs. Koller teaches ACT English & Reading.

What to expect in these courses:

Test prep strategies and content review
Preparation for the Online ACT

Note: Even if you cannot attend these classes, you can access course materials by registering for these activities in Infinite Campus. The names of these activities are “Test Prep - Math" and “Test Prep - English”.

2026 National Honor Society Induction

Congratulations to our students who are being inducted into the National Honors Society on Tuesday August 25, 2026. The ceremony will begin at 7:00 pm in the auditorium.

College Now Webinar for the Class of 2029

District 211, in partnership with Harper College and Districts 214 and 220, invites you to learn more about College Now. This program provides eligible students with the opportunity to earn both a District 211 high school diploma and a Harper College Associate in Arts degree by the end of Grade 12.

Sophomore year is when interested students learn about the program, review their eligibility, and apply to participate during their junior and senior years.

Parent Principal Network

Please join the principal for a Parent Principal Network meeting prior to the Fremd Viking Boosters meeting on Tuesday, September 8th, from 6:00-7:00 pm in the Library. Discussion will center on events for the start of the school year with an emphasis on school safety. Plan on staying for the Booster meeting as well!

Home Sweet Homecoming

Homecoming is right around the corner. Dance ticket sales start September 9 through myschoolbucks or the Fremd cashier. Fremd will celebrate with a week of spirit and activities starting September 21. The Homecoming football/flag football games will be Friday September 25; the dance will be Saturday 26. After School Tutoring

Academic tutoring is now available in the media center after school Monday through Thursday. Please reach out to Assistant Principal Scott Newmark with questions related to after school tutoring.
