Farmer Families,

As we wrap up the first nine weeks of school, I want to take a moment to celebrate the wonderful start we've had across our school! Our students have worked hard, embraced new challenges, and continued to make us proud both inside and outside the classroom.

As we begin the second nine weeks, we look forward to even more opportunities for our students to learn, grow, and showcase their talents. From academic achievements to athletics, fine arts, and campus activities, there is so much to look forward to this fall!

We also want to encourage all parents and guardians to participate in the Parent Survey that will be emailed directly to families by the district on October 22nd. Your feedback is important to us and helps guide our efforts to create the best possible learning environment for our students. Please take a few moments to complete the survey before it closes on November 5th. We value your voice and appreciate your participation!

Thank you to our dedicated teachers, staff, parents, and community members for your continued partnership and support. Together, we are building a strong foundation for a successful school year. Let's keep the momentum going and continue showing our Farmer Pride!

***Important Action Required ASAP***

  1. Install Bluebook on your iPad (Go to the Self Service App to download)
  2. Test Your Device (Sign into Bluebook, and you’ll see a button at the top right of your screen that reads “Test Your Device.” Click this, and Bluebook will quickly check that your device meets all requirements)
  3. Update your iPad to the newest iOS, if there is one available.
  • Students, the PSAT test will be taken on your district-issued iPad, so you MUST bring your charged iPad on the day of your exam.
  • The test is paid for by LISD.
  • Students should NOT go to Main, Killough or Tech Centers on the morning of their PSAT test. Students should report directly to their testing room at Harmon. Attendance will be taken in the testing rooms and students will not be counted absent from their normal classes.
  • The exam will begin promptly at 8:50 and students who arrive late will not be permitted to take the exam. It is also important to note there is not an alternative date or make up exam offered.

We hope you are excited to advantage of this awesome opportunity to take the PSAT/NMSQT for free!

EOC Camps – Preparing for Success!

Our upcoming EOC Camps are designed to provide additional academic support for students preparing to take the December End-of-Course (EOC) exams in English, Algebra, and Biology. We encourage parents to have their students take advantage of these opportunities to strengthen their skills, review important concepts, build confidence, and receive extra help from our teachers. Whether your student needs additional assistance or simply wants more practice before testing, our EOC Camps are a great way to prepare for success! Camps will be held on select dates in November and December from 4:30–6:00 PM. A light meal and transportation will be provided! Let's work together to help our Farmers finish strong!

October Advisory Lesson

Lewisville ISD is committed to spending the month of October to promote awareness and intervention of substance abuse. Our Red Ribbon Campaign lesson is in compliance with state mandates that require school districts to educate all students on drug and alcohol awareness, early mental health intervention and character development. Click here to view the LISD curricula.

⚠️ ACTION REQUIRED: Back-to-School Forms ⚠️

All families must complete the required Back-to-School Forms in Skyward as soon as possible. These forms contain important information and permissions needed for the 2026–2027 school year, and they must be completed before your student is eligible to receive an LISD iPad. Parents and guardians can access the forms by logging into their Skyward Family Access account and completing all required Back-to-School forms for their student. Please do not wait—students who have incomplete forms may experience a delay in receiving their device and accessing the technology they need for daily classroom instruction. Thank you for taking care of this important requirement as soon as possible! Scan the QR code on the flyer to access the forms or access the page HERE

Student IDs

IDs must be worn at all times in the building!

Farmers, don’t forget your IDs! Wearing your student ID keeps our campus safe and helps things run smoothly. Temporary IDs cost $1, and replacement IDs are $5—so keep yours with you every day! The LHS Harmon 2026-27 is yellow. You should receive your new ID the first week of school during 2nd period.

Attendance and Absences

Regular school attendance is essential for students to maximize their learning opportunities. Absences from class may result in serious disruption in the mastery of the knowledge and skills needed to progress to the next grade. It is crucial that students and parents make every effort to avoid unnecessary absences.

A student can be considered absent if he or she misses all or part of the school day, including late arrival and early pick up.

Attendance for Credit (Texas Law Requirement)

Under Texas law, students must be in attendance for at least 90% of the time a class is offered. Students who do not meet this requirement—regardless of the reason for the absence—will lose credit for the class.

For more information, visit the LISD Attendance and Absences page HERE.
