Dear MUMS community,
Thanks for supporting your students through the last week before break and also through spirit week! We experience a great deal of joy when we celebrate together and this week has been no exception!
If you haven't already heard, we will release early today due to the hazardous weather that is forecasted for later this afternoon. We will dismiss at 12:45 as we usually do on an Early Release day, but will follow a shortened class schedule which is posted below.
Please contact our main office at (802)382-1600 with any changes to your child's dismissal plans.
We hope that you have safe travels today and a wonderful break!

Greetings MUMS Caregivers!
On Tuesday MUMS had a special visit from Will Gusakov of Goose Wing Timber Works! Will, a local carpenter from Bristol, lived in France for 6 months while he worked on the reconstruction of Notre Dame de Paris.
He shared with students why his expertise in traditional timber framing was needed for this special project, and talked about the reconstruction process. He also shared how he learned French and how speaking more than one language has opened many career opportunities for him. Students asked him many questions and even had a chance to hold his one of a kind hewing axe, forged in France specifically for the reconstruction. It was fascinating to see our local connection to such a celebrated cultural landmark. Thanks so much to Will for sharing this incredible piece of history with our students!
💡Talk to your student: How might speaking more than one language open new career opportunities in our globalized world?
Early Release Day Schedule - 02.20.26
2025-2026 Memory Book
Memory Books are now available to purchase for $20 each. They are expected to arrive in early June.
We are asking that anyone who would like to purchase a Memory Book this year do so as soon as possible. There will not be many books available to purchase after the fact this year, so we are encouraging students to fill out this order form, which they have received in TA. Please submit all order forms with a Cash or Check payment (payable to MUMS), to Gail Williams in the Main Office. Order forms are available in both the Counseling Office and the Main Office.
If purchasing a Memory Book presents a financial hardship for your family, please don’t hesitate to contact Dustin Hunt for support at dhunt@acsdvt.org or (802)382-1213.
ACSD Calendar 2026-2027
Next year's school calendar has been posted!
Student Absences, Dismissals + Bus Notes
If your student will be absent from school, needs an early dismissal, or will take a different bus, please follow these directions:
- Absence / early dismissal: Call 802-382-1297, the MUMS attendance line, before 8:30am (helpful tip: add this number to your phone now as "MUMS attendance line")
- Early dismissal + bus notes: Students must deliver a caregiver's note to the front office when arriving at school (before TA).
- If taking a bus other than their regular bus: Students must bring a caregiver's note and have it signed by a MUMS Administrative Assistant in the front office to be valid.
Shoreham/Cornwall bus caveats
Please use the "button" above to preview our ACSD bus routes.
Also please note a few caveats that impact students who ride Cornwall or Shoreham buses home.
Cornwall and Shoreham buses do not come to MUMS at pick-up time. Students who ride those buses must take a shuttle from MUMS to MUHS to meet their bus.
Cornwall students use the Bridport bus as their MUMS-MUHS shuttle and get on the Cornwall bus at the High school to ride home.
Shoreham students use the Weybridge bus as their MUMS-MUHS shuttle and get on the Shoreham bus at the High school to ride home.
