SandburgCommunity UpdateNov 6th, 2026

Note from our Principal, Mrs. Sieck Note from our Principal, Mrs. Sieck

Dear Sandburg Community,

Thank you so much for your incredible support on Ballot Issue 4A to support the Mill Levy Override (MLO) for LPS and for being the best community in the state of Colorado. Our community has spoken, and they have decidedly said that they are for the continued excellence LPS provides each and every day. Your dedication to our students and schools makes all the difference.

We have an exciting week ahead! Next week is Pawlooza, and we have an incredible science event planned for our students. We are partnering with Cool Science to give our students a hands-on, interactive science experience that is sure to spark curiosity and learning.

Don't forget Friday, November 13th is our Thanksgiving Feast. Please be sure to review our updated lunch schedule and send in your RSVP so you can join us for this meaningful opportunity to gather and share a meal as a school family.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Lindsey Sieck

Volunteer Requirements: Volunteer Requirements:

A few friendly reminders about our volunteer requirements and what it means to be a volunteer vs. a visitor. With so many special events at school, please take the time to review these expectations to avoid frustrations later. These requirements are required for any Sign Up Genius that room parents send out as well. These are all in place to keep our students safe. Thank you for understanding.

  • Volunteers are individuals who have completed a district background check. If you’ll be working directly with students—leading groups, supervising activities, or attending field trips—you must be registered as a volunteer. Click here to register to be a volunteer.

  • Visitors are guests who check in at the front office but have not completed the volunteer background check. Visitors are always welcome but may not be left alone with students.
