HOSA PROJECT:

To Our Valued Community Members,

Help us bring the healing power of music to those who need it most!

The Randolph HOSA Chapter is reaching out with a heartfelt request to support individuals who could truly benefit from a little extra care and kindness—those living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other cognitive challenges. Through the Music & Memory program, we aim to bring joy and comfort to these individuals by providing access to personalized music playlists, which have been shown to reduce agitation, improve mood, and rekindle cherished memories.

With the holiday season upon us, many of us are giving and receiving gifts, and perhaps doing some holiday cleaning. In doing so, you may come across devices that still work but are no longer used. These items could make a tremendous difference in someone’s life if donated.

We are accepting:

  • iPods or SanDisk MP3 Players (Clip Jam or Sport)

  • New headphones (please note: for hygienic reasons, used headphones cannot be accepted)
  • Charging cords and headphone splitters

  • iTunes gift cards
  • Gift cards to purchase new devices

Drop-off Location: Randolph High School

Deadline: February 2, 2026

Contact: Nicole Bernal, bernal@rfisd.net

Your generosity will help ensure that residents in long-term care facilities have access to the therapeutic benefits of music, fostering connection and joy during a time when they need it most.

Every donation—big or small—makes a difference. Together, we can help restore dignity to a group that could truly benefit from the generosity of others.

Thank you for considering this request and for supporting our mission to make a positive impact in our community.

Warm regards,
Randolph HOSA

A Message from Dr. Holt A Message from Dr. Holt

Dear RFISD Community,

As we prepare to head into our winter break, I want to take a moment to reflect on what a remarkable first semester it's been. From the classroom to the stage, from the field to the community, our students have shown tremendous heart, hard work, and growth these past few months.

I've had the privilege of visiting classrooms filled with curiosity and creativity, watching performances that showcased incredible talent, and celebrating milestones with students, staff, and families alike. There's so much to be proud of--and even more to look forward to in the new year.

Before we conclude this semester, though, as promised, we have included the links to the RFISD Technology Survey and Child Nutrition Survey (see below). These surveys will remain open through our upcoming break, and we ask that you and your student(s) complete them so that we can learn from your experiences and feedback.

I hope you are able to rest, reconnect, and recharge in the weeks ahead. Whether you're traveling, hosting, or simply enjoying a slower pace at home during the holidays, I wish you peace, joy, and quality time with the people who matter most.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. On behalf of all of us at RFISD, we wish you and your family a safe and joyful holiday season--and a bright start to 2026!

Warmest Regards,

Brian Holt, EdD

Superintendent

Randolph Field ISD

If you have an idea for something you'd like us to considering sharing in our monthly district newsletter, please visit the Community Engagement & Public Relations page on the RFISD website linked here ! Once on that page, click and complete the "RFISD Story Submission Form" to submit your idea.

Also, please be sure to follow our official RFISD Facebook page if you aren't already. You can find the page by clicking on the "F" above, or you can search Facebook for "Randolph Field Independent School District." The Randolph Elementary School Facebook page and the Randolph Secondary Schools Facebook page will be phasing out, as we continue to fully transition to ParentSquare as our primary communication tool; however, the RFISD Facebook page will continue to remain active moving forward!

Thank you to all of the students, parents, and teachers who post wonderful pictures that we often use in our district newsletters. We are also especially grateful to Grunt Peterson Studios for generously sharing their talent with us by photographing so many of our athletic events throughout the year and providing the Randolph community access to those pictures free of charge.
