From Superintendent Robert Wargo:

This weekend we honor our nation's heroes who have sacrificed their lives to defend our freedoms. Below is an itinerary from the Town of Weymouth with local observances.

On behalf of Weymouth Public Schools, thank you to all our veterans who have served; we will remember our fallen service members with great pride this Memorial Day. Our students in STEM Grade 8 created videos to honor our fallen military members. I've included a link to the videos below, and encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices of so many brave men and women in our country.

Enjoy the holiday weekend, and we'll see you back in school on Tuesday.

Thank you,

Robert Wargo

Superintendent

Thank you to Mrs. Kenny, who coordinated this event and rehearsed and directed all four of these ensembles, and many thanks to WPS music teachers Ms. Abraham and Mr. Landry who helped all our musicians prepare for the event- Mr. Landry even sat in on percussion with our Jazz Band due to an unexpected student absence. Great job musicians!

The Sun Comes out for Annie Jr...

Congratulations to the entire cast, crew, and creative team of “Annie Jr.” at AAMS! It was a spectacular production with over 80 Adams students involved, and dozens of high school students and alums of the program who volunteered to work behind the scenes- everyone was incredibly impressed with the performance. This was the first time students performed with a live orchestra, made up of WPS music teachers Mrs. Kenny, Mr. Landry, and Mr. Shirosky, guest musician Mr. DiBenedetto, and WHS senior Luke Seto. Thanks to all who made this production possible, especially the directors Mr. Cawley and Ms. McDonough. Great job to all involved!
