NWEA
West Bloomfield Parents & Guardians,
In the upcoming weeks, students in grades K-10 will participate in the NWEA Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Growth Assessment for Math and Language Arts. Each school and teacher will be communicating when your child will take the assessment. We need your help in ensuring that your child takes the assessment seriously, gives his/her very best, and is well rested for the assessment. Please read the information linked below so that we can work together to maximize this assessment experience.
5th GRADE LEVEL UP MATH
WBMS Leveled Up Math Families,
We want to share an important update regarding late start days for the 2025–2026 school year at WBMS. On late start days, middle school begins later due to professional development. For our leveled-up math students, this means that they will report to their assigned elementary school for the day. The same applies if classes are canceled for any reason.
Students will still be responsible for completing the assignments posted by Ms. Parsell and Mr. Perpich on CANVAS. These tasks are expected to be completed asynchronously, ideally during the scheduled math time at the elementary school.
The first three late start dates are as follows:
September 10
October 15
November 12
