Message for the Week:
Message from Mr. Tejkl
Gracious pride is a great thing...
Good morning!
As stated at the top, what a week/weekend for SRC! We had so many activities going on and great individuals who make up SRC representing our school! It wasn't just one activity but it was many groups that came together, did their thing, and made lasting memories for so many! Unbelievable and something to be very proud of!
We also have the many items that go on behind the scene that may not get as much publicity state wide but is recognized by us here: Quiz Bowl, Elementary Performance at Senior Center, FBLA Valentines, FFA Week, replacing a compressor in a broken down bus, keeping our school clean, payroll being done, money from activities being counted/deposited, daily attendance, etc. It takes us all to create what we are as SRC!
In that, we should have a gracious pride in what we do and who we are! There is no shame in being supportive when doing it for good and making others know, in a respectful way, who WE are! This brings out the best in us and encourages others. When we come together and support each other, whether we know the fine-tooth details of what goes in to wrestling, quiz bowl, accounting, or anything else; we know that we trust those individuals/teams that they will represent the name on their chest.
I am very proud of everyone in our building and in our district whose fingerprints are on what we do daily. It is amazing when we have the opportunity to show those around us that WE ARE SRC and that we have GREAT things happening daily! On top of all of that, many see the end results of hoisting a trophy, medal, or something like that. We all know that hard work, dedication, and sacrifice that goes into. From our teachers, to our administration, to our classified staff, to our students, to our parents/guardians, and to those surrounding and contributing to the growth of our district; I THANK YOU for all you do!
Have a great rest of your Sunday and I will see you tomorrow!
Quote of the week to reflect on:
"Gracious pride is a wonderful quality when it is used for good; it brings out the best in you and encourages the best in others."
Susan C. Young
Sincerely,
Tucker Tejkl
