Greetings Ben Franklin Families!

I am looking forward to a new year of continued success. Ben Franklin students continue to cement our reputation for developing students that are active and engaged in our community, leaders in school and out, and talented with both hands-on skills and academic achievement.

As we prepare for the start of school, there are some important first steps for you.

  1. Complete online registration (more information below)
  2. Check on transportation - that needs to be updated annually (information below)

  3. Check for fees and lunch balances. That is part of the online registration, but can also be checked separately in the Skyward Family Access portal.

  4. If you need assistance with your Skyward Family Access account, please contact the District Enrollment Specialist, Devon Zopfi at 715-345-5554 or enrollments@pointschools.net

Student Schedules will be available a week from today.

For schedule questions, contact:

  • Student last names A-L: Miranda Johnson (mijohnso@pointschools.net)
  • Student last names M-Z: Trevor Neukirchen (tneukirc@pointschools.net)

Please note that course enrollments, including advanced courses, are based on available space. Families will be notified whenever possible if a requested course is unavailable.

We look forward to seeing you at our Back to School Night on the 26th. Our Family Engagement Team will be ready to greet you. We hope you will get a good feel for the school and your student’s schedule as well as consider joining that Family Engagement Team. We are better for the different experiences and points of view that you all bring to our school community!

Sincerely,

Joel Burgener, Ed.D.

Students, staff, and visitors should be aware that their actions and conversations may be recorded while riding a school bus. DROP OFF and PICK UP:

We ask to please be patient when dropping off or picking up your student(s). We have limited areas to do this safely. Cooperation from everyone is appreciated!

Before School: There will be no parking in the drop-off zone. Cars should pull as far forward as possible into the zone, then drop-off. Cars can then move forward or safely use the left lane to exit the circle drive. Please be careful to check the left lane and signal before turning into it.

After School: If you arrive before dismissal, please pull as far forward as possible to maximize the number of vehicles that can enter the circle drive. Students will be allowed to be picked up anywhere along the sidewalk, however, for student safety, we won’t allow students to cross traffic to get to a vehicle in the left lane. After picking up your student, you may safely utilize the left lane to exit the circle drive. Students will be permitted to walk to be picked up off Polk Street, the side streets South of Ben Franklin, or the businesses to the East of Ben Franklin. Please do not cross traffic on the circle drive in front of Ben Franklin to access vehicles, use the sidewalks to get to your vehicle. Please know it is illegal to stop to pick up your child on Water St.
