Good Afternoon Casa Families,

Casa Kickoff is this Wednesday and Thursday. You should plan on spending about an hour on campus.

The biggest holdup that families face that day is arriving without completing the Annual Information Update. To avoid this, go to Q Parent Portal, click the information update tab and select edit for each student. Don't forget to hit submit at the end. If you need assistance, Ram staff will help you the day of the kickoff.

To support student safety, the Board of Education approved updates to Board Policy 5142 on June 23, 2026. The following guidelines apply on all school campuses:

• E-scooter riders must have a valid permit or driver’s license
• Riders must be 16 years or older

Many electric devices are not designed for or legally permitted for students under age 16. Under California law, higher-speed or motorized devices may require specific age limits, licensing and safety equipment.

Forms and Information

• Go to https://www.sanjuan.edu/parentportal to update your students information and complete the School Funding Form.
• Print and bring in the Attendance Contract. We will also have hard copies on the day of the kickoff.

• Attendance form and information update must be completed.
• A QR code and a link will be provided for schedule change requests.

School Pictures and ID Cards

• Students must be in dress code and hatless for the pictures.

Purchase Opportunities

• Class shirts and ASB/Student Discount cards are available for purchase on gofan.co only. Class shirts ordered before 7/25 will be available for pick up on 8/5 and 8/6.
• Yearbook sales are online a yearbookordercenter.com, school code is 7760.
• PE clothes must be purchased at gofan.co and will be distributed in PE classes once school begins.

• August 5th is for 9th and 12th graders.
• August 6th is for 10th - 11th graders and anyone who missed kickoff on the 5th.

• Last Names A - E 8:00 am – 9:00 am
• Last Names F - L 9:00 am – 10:00 am
• Last Names M - R 10:00 am – 11:00 am
• Last Names S - Z 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

• 9th graders arrive at the Large Gym at 9:00am.
• Meet with their 11th and 12th grade link leaders
• Tour the campus.
• Participate in community building activities.
• Attend a mini rally.
