Hi, Central Families! I cannot believe it’s already October!

We look forward to seeing you at the Fall Fest on October 18! Please remember this is an event for the family attend together. Please don't send children to the Fall Fest without an adult.

We appreciate being able to partner with you in educating your children. Would you please help us in making sure they have good attendance and get good rest at night? Good attendance and good sleep will help them so much in their learning.

If you haven't checked out our Facebook Page, we encourage you to do so. It is a great way to keep up with all of the amazing things happening at Central!

From The Library From The Library

Hello October! This time of year students are full of excitement for all the fun fall activities. Whether you are going to pumpkin patches, attending the school fall festival or picking out Halloween costumes I hope you find a way to incorporate reading into it! There are so many wonderful books that have to do with fall, books about pumpkins, fall leaves and so many Halloween themed books.

This month the older grades are learning about genres to fit the season; Mystery and Scary stories. They will be working through some activities to help them become familiar with the elements of each of these. Younger grades will be using many of these fall themed books to discuss characters, setting, and plot.

I hope you can spend some time reading this month and enjoy all that this season has to offer.

Happy Reading!

- Mrs. Weil

EVENTS TO LOOK FORWARD TO:

· November 3rd-14th– Feather the Turkey Reading challenge

· December– Character Christmas ornaments
