Monday Notes - Nov 10, 2025

Here is to a great week as we rush toward Thanksgiving break. Please take a few minutes and review important reminders below. Hang in there, we are almost there!

Please make sure to secure a purchase order (PO) for your students’ participation in All-State. If you need a quote, use this link to generate one, then submit it to your business office so they can create the PO.

• Choir, Guitar, and Orchestra: You should have already received an Invoice for student participation dated November 21. Your PO must be dated before November 21.

• Band and Jazz: Invoices will be dated December 6, so the PO must be in place by that date.

And Lastly - Send me (neilswapp@nmmea.com) a copy of the PO!

Plan to join us for an important Advocacy Town Hall this Wednesday (November 12th )at 6:30 pm. This town hall will focus on practical steps each of us can take to strengthen support for music education in our schools, districts, and states. A good time will be had!

Congratulations to the choir, guitar, and orchestra students who were selected for All-State (link). Just a couple important reminders:

• Students selected as alternates do not attend the event unless contacted by the Executive Director
• Check notifying email or posted list for part assignments, including choral students
• Notify Executive Director by December 1st of any misspelled names.
• Order and secure music now!

Musicality is the designated music vendor for Band, Guitar, Orchestra, and Jazz (including Vocal Jazz). This year, Musicality orders are online only—music folders will not be available for in-person pickup.

Choral music may still be ordered through your preferred vendor.

It’s official — November is “Register for the Conference Month”! Grab your spot for the 2026 All-State Music Festival & In-Service Conference and All-State Jazz. You don’t want to miss a weekend full of music, ideas, laughter, and community. Go register before it sneaks up on you!

Don't miss the 2026 luncheon - tickets are available here. If your district is paying for your registrations, please check with your music coordinator to see if the luncheon is included in the registration they will complete.
