Thank you for your generosity!
Our annual food drive brought in so much food - thank you! We far exceeded our goals and are grateful for your support of our Sunapee community. We will celebrate meeting our goal on Monday at school.
4/5 Recess Options - Student Voice in Action
This year, we have seen wonderful leadership from our fourth graders as they advocate for more choices at recess! With a limited playground, students who have spent several years at SCES are eager to try something new. While we look ahead to the possibility of a playground renovation (stay tuned!), we are also taking steps in the short term to bring more variety to their outdoor experiences.
Mrs. Reed met with fourth-grade students selected by their teachers to represent their classmates’ ideas. This week, we added Nitro Ball as a new recess option! Our Safety Patrollers of the Week took responsibility for setting up and taking down the net—a great example of student leadership. Thank you, girls!
On Thursday, Mrs. Grant led students in yoga, offering another fun way to mix things up. We look forward to continuing to partner with students to introduce special activities and new options at recess. We appreciate their initiative, creativity, and willingness to help make SCES an even better place to learn and play!
Art on Central Street
In Art classes this week students have learned about murals and created their very own murals to be on display on Central Street on Saturday. Thank you Mrs. Willis for providing an authentic audience for student work!
Cardboard Challenge
This week during library classes most students were introduced to this exciting project. A few classes will learn about it on Monday. We look forward to seeing student creations on November 12!
