OHS Graduation & Prom Update

A survey was sent out in late May about graduation and the elements of graduation that we wanted to uphold. The data from that survey were used to determine the elements of our High School Graduation this summer. In addition, new information from the County Health Department and input from the community agencies allowed us to move forward with an approach that keeps everyone safe. In order to assure that everyone understands the commitment to safety and the risks associated with this event in the current climate, a waiver is required by ALL who participate and attend the event. On July 26th at 1pm, on the football field, we will be holding our Class of 2020 Graduation Ceremony. In the interest of safety we are offering the following elements:

• Parking for Last name A-K in the Middle School Lot (North side of building)

• Parking for Last name L-Z in the High School Lot (South end of building)

• Any Senior Citizen or Handicap parking will be clearly designated and close to the field. Please let us know prior to the graduation date if you or your guests need any of these spots.

• We will be socially distanced at the event (6ft apart) for students and family groups in attendance. Masks are strongly encouraged for safety.

• We are trying to organize seating in family clusters of up to 10 people.

• There is a recommended group limit of ten (10) members per family given the large amounts of interest. If your group is larger than 10 please email Mr. Leach at mleach@nosd.edu so that we can plan your family seating accordingly.

• There will be a stage set up for students to cross and a photo will be taken of the students getting their diploma from the district representatives. No people will be allowed to approach the stage for personal pictures.

• There will be a slide show of students “over the years” that will be playing. With this being an outdoor event it may be harder to see so this slide show will be shared with everyone after the event to watch on your own as well.

The Ozaukee High School Prom is available for attendance on Friday, August 7, from 7:30 pm to 11:30 at the Buechler Farms venue. Students of the OHS Class of 2020 are welcome. The theme is "THE ROARING TWENTIES". Dinner will be provided for any Class of 2021 student that purchases the Dinner & Dance ticket. Guests from outside the school will have to fill out the guest form below and get it approved before a ticket can be purchased. There will be a Dance and Grand March but there will NOT be a school sanctioned Post Prom event.

Prom tickets will be sold online through e-Funds this year starting on Wednesday, July 15th The cost is $20 per student for Dance only and $40 per student for Dinner and Dance (Class of 2021 only). Further instruction and the link will be sent in a seperate email shortly.
