If you would prefer, we can schedule a brief phone call to discuss the details and donation process outlined below.
AdoptAClassroom.org & Subaru’s Partnership:
Our nonprofit partners with donors and businesses to fund classrooms so educators can receive the resources they need for their students. Since 1998, we’ve disbursed $74+ million to educators nationwide.
This is the 6th consecutive year Subaru and its retailers nationwide have partnered with our nonprofit to fund schools in their communities. This year, your school was selected by Grand Subaru to receive a donation in August.
Important Details About This Donation:
The donation is to be divided among 10 teachers who will each receive $500 in AdoptAClassroom.org funds to choose and order materials for their classrooms.
- Visit our webpage to learn more about the AdoptAClassroom.org marketplace.
Upon accepting this donation, please do not share the good news with your teachers. AAC will contact you in August detailing when you can inform your teachers.
SLT - Spring Cleaning
Hello WAJ Teachers and Staff!
Teacher Appreciation Week 2026 is on the horizon, and the Student Leadership Team wants to say thanks through service!
This year we'd like to offer helping hands in your classrooms, in whatever way makes your life easier! We'll send small groups of SLT 5th graders to your room or workspace to help with things like cleaning, organizing, pencil sharpening, or anything else you may need! This service will be our main goal during our Thursday 4/30 and Thursday 5/7 after school club meeting days.
If you're interested in scheduling an SLT Spring Cleaning Service™️, complete the attached form
We can't wait to show our appreciation for all you do!
- Ms. Lee, Ms. Perry and the Student Leadership Team
Discarding Items
Teachers,
Please do not leave your unwanted items in our staff lounge. This is an area for staff to gather, work, and eat. We will also be having upcoming celebrations in the lounge.
If you have items to discard, please place them in the trash.
Tier 1 Supports
As we enter the final five weeks of the school year, consistent Tier 1 supports remain key to maintaining positive behavior. Let’s keep routines predictable, reinforce expectations, and provide frequent, specific positive feedback to keep students following expectations. Proactive strategies like movement breaks and morning meeting time can help support a strong finish. Don’t forget that we have many existing resources on our WAJ PBIS website (link here).
