1SC Shout Outs!
Kayden Keller
Did you know Sand Creek has over 13 students participating in a work study/apprentice program? The Aggie Academic Center recognizes that there are many paths to learning and this is just one of many!
This week's featured student is senior Kayden Keller. Kayden is completing a paid internship at Clearview Dental. In this program Kayden spends the second half of her day at the dental office working and learning about the exciting world of dentistry. Kayden was a Dental student at the LISD TECH Center and secured this position for her senior year. Great job Kayden showing your work readiness skills!
The Counseling Center would like to continue to recognize the LISD TECH Center for all of their hard work partnering with us and helping us to support and secure these placements for our students at Sand Creek.
SC Student Government Sponsors Canned Food Drive
The Sand Creek Student Government sponsored a friendly 6-12 canned food drive competition benefitting the Salvation Army. The seniors won and earned a movie day the 1/2 day before Thanksgiving. Thank you to all of our amazing students that brought in items to benefit those facing food insecurity!
