Student and Family Resources

This page has been created to give you access to those announcements or information that does not change, but takes up a lot of space in our newsletter.
We will continue to update over the course of the school year.
Student Wellbeing Options
The School District of Omro is excited to offer students two convenient counseling options during the school day.
A Rawhide Youth Services counselor is available at OES, OMS, and OHS.
Collaborative Wellness counselors are available at all four schools.
Counseling sessions take place in a private space at school, but please note that these counselors are not school employees. Any information your child shares will stay private and will not be shared with school staff unless you give permission.
All counseling services are billed through your family’s insurance.
We are grateful to be able to partner with these organizations to support the well-being of our students.
Please contact your child's School Counselor, School Psychologist, or Director of Pupil Services for more information or to complete a referral form.

Calling Students In Absent for School
To call your child in for school, please dial 920-303-2300 and press 1 for the attendance line. Please leave a message with your name, your child's name and reason for absence. If the absence is illness related, please note any symptoms in your message.
Reminder: students who are in extra curricular activities, ***Students must be in attendance for the entire school day in order to practice or compete in an event.*** Special circumstances may merit exception with prior approval from the Principal/Dean of Students, or designee. To see if the absence can be approved:
- Step 1 - Parent/Guardian notification to office (Mrs. Prado, Mrs. Stadler or Mrs. Dobberstein) at least 24 hours prior to absence)
- Step 2 - If absence is approved, Student picks up signed Excused Slip from office
- Step 3 - Student gives signed Excused Slip to coach/advisor to participate the day of the absence
Students are allowed 10 occurrences per school year. Medical and dental appointments can be considered a "no count" absence with a doctor's note provided and will not count toward the student's 10 days. Driving lessons, however, DO count as an occurrence as it is not something offered by the school district. If you have any questions regarding what does and does not count toward your child's days, please feel free to contact their school office for more information!
If an absence is deemed unexcused it will result in ineligibility for participation in extracurricular activities until the next full day of attendance.
